SEATTLE — Yesterday, King County Exec. Girmay Zahilay and Seattle Mayor B. Katie Wilson announced a three-part plan that they say will stabilize, right-size and reset the King County Regional Homelessness Authority (KCRHA).
The move follows an independent forensic evaluation that raised concerns about the agency's financial management, governance and internal controls. The plan is intended to maintain homelessness services while strengthening oversight and accountability and positioning KCRHA to remain competitive for federal homelessness funding.
