Rent cap set at 10% for 2027

OLYMPIA — The state Department of Commerce announced that the maximum annual rent increase allowed for certain residential rental units will be 10% in 2027.

The cap was established under Engrossed House Bill 1217, adopted by the Legislature in 2025, and applies to rental units covered by the state's Residential Landlord-Tenant Act.
