Goodwill store could give way to 300 Ballard units

The donation lanes last weekend, long as ever.

The familiar Ballard Goodwill store at 6400 Eighth Ave N.W. began life in 1967 as a Safeway. Goodwill became the tenant in 2004. The landowner is a Portland investment group that acquired the empty store in 2000. The corner property, at 65th, offers about 1.6 acres, and isn't publicly listed for sale. But it looks to be on the market.
