Construction begins on $7B redevelopment in Chicago's West Side

A new 6,000-seat music hall is planned as part of the development’s first phase.

The $7 billion 1901 Project officially broke ground on its first phase last month, launching the transformation of more than 55 acres of vacant surface parking into a mixed-use development.
