Grand Illusion files plans for Varsity

The Varsity was long operated by Landmark Theatres, then flipped to Far Away Entertainment a decade ago.

SEATTLE — There's not yet been an announcement or confirmation of a lease, which the broker says is pending. However, plans came last month for the Grand Illusion Cinema to occupy the shuttered Varsity Theatre at 4329 University Way N.E.
