Groundwork underway on Holland's 185-unit Fremont project

The scene in August on the North 36th Street strip.

Demolition of a few old Fremont buildings began soon after the May land sale at 452 N. 36th St., to builder/developer Holland Partner Group. A recent DJC visit found the grading and groundwork well underway, with Malcom Drilling deploying lots of big blue machinery for the shoring ahead. Dewatering tanks are parked along the curb (with the sidewalk still open to pedestrians).
