Grand Illusion confirms move to shuttered Varsity Theatre

The nonprofit cinema says architecture firms ORA and Perkins&Will will help refresh the facility.

The DJC first reported in August that the nonprofit Grand Illusion Cinema would lease the shuttered Varsity Theatre, at 4329 University Way N.E. The Grand Illusion's Brian Alter then said an announcement would follow in the weeks ahead.
