    Some of the old Bartell signage, pictured, has since been removed.

    The Magnolia Bartell closed a few years ago, as that drugstore chain — by then part of the dwindling Rite Aid empire — shuttered all its stores. Since then, Kidder Mathews has been seeking to fill the space at 2222 32nd Ave. W., in the commercial heart of that neighborhood.
