Church pulls plug on U District redevelopment

The demo, back in 2021. John Graham designed the neo-Gothic church, which opened in 1927.

Back in 2018, the dwindling congregation of University Temple United Methodist Church decided to redevelop its U District property at 1415 N.E. 43rd St. Now a field of rubble, that's on the corner of 15th Avenue — directly west of the UW campus, and east of the post office.
