If you think Seattle's core is dense now, just wait 20 years. Currently there are 42,550 residences downtown and in surrounding neighborhoods. In 20 years, City Hall says 23,800 homes can be added.
Those are eye-popping numbers. Unfortunately for observers, the road map to increased density is dotted with plenty of dull policy discussions.
