The New York-based development company Jonathan Rose Cos. is known for being an innovator in green buildings and sustainability, getting involved with urban planning, development, project management and investment services around the country.
The company has six regional offices, including one in Seattle. It has done a project here — the green rehab of the Joseph Vance Building — but Rose's profile recently got a little higher when its team was a finalist to redevelop Yesler Terrace. Rose is now teaming up with Capitol Hill Housing on a proposal to develop a site near the Sound Transit light rail station on Capitol Hill.
