On the Block: Super-sized SEDUs won't help housing crunch
The glossary of small, affordable housing units keeps changing. First there were apodments, then congregate housing, then small efficiency dwelling units — or SEDUs — came into vogue.
But as the city has redefined micro-housing units over the past three years, raising the square footage requirements, development of these units has slowed.
