On the Block: Jim Mueller finally done, or not, with 23rd & Madison
Jim Mueller was a pioneer near the corner of East Madison Street and 23rd Avenue East. “The plan was to reinvigorate that intersection,” he says. After leaving Vulcan Real Estate in 2004, he and partners began investing along the upzoned strip west of 23rd.
Now his JC Mueller LLC has sold its third project on that fast-changing area. The fully entitled redevelopment site at 2100 E. Madison St. sold last week for $4.6 million, according to King County records. The seller was Mueller's 2100 East Madison Partners, which acquired the property in 2014 for $1.8 million.
