On the Block: A big hotel deal in wine country
In a little-noticed sale, at least on this side of the mountains, Walla Walla's storied Marcus Whitman Hotel changed hands at the end of December.
The deal carried a topline price of nearly $26.3 million, less a $7.5 million personal property deduction for the furnishings, fixtures, etc. The seller's broker was Metis, which also found the buyer, an LLC related to Columbia Hospitality, which is now managing the property.
