The Lodges on Vashon opened this summer at 17205 Vashon Hwy. S.W.
Sixteen free-standing modular lodges are available to rent. Each is about 570 square feet. The structures were prefabricated and brought to the site on a ferry. They have gas fireplaces, modern bathroom fixtures, oversized soaking tubs and private patios.
The 10,600-square-foot site also has two communal spaces: an enclosed public house and an open-air pavilion with a cement fireplace. Both of those spaces can be reserved for private events.
