Cain and Scott has added Wil Speeg and Brooks Fenton to its apartment brokerage department, increasing the company's market coverage in the Puget Sound area. Speeg has been active in the real estate industry since 1980. Fenton has specialized in apartment land sales since 1979 and has also developed apartments. Cain and Scott has provided apartment brokerage, counseling, appraisal, and research services to investors in the Puget Sound Region since 1977.
Steve Sutherland has joined the Bellevue office of Colliers Macaulay Nicolls International as vice president, specializing in office and industrial investment property sales. Prior to joining Colliers, Sutherland was vice president - investments with CB Commercial.
Cindy White, principle of White Investment Properties in Ferndale, is now the president of the Washington Association of Realtors. White became the official spokesperson for the 16,500 realtor members of Washington's largest trade association. White will be responsible for explaining how the professional and public interest inter-relate on the up coming topics for this legislative session. Three other officers join White in the association's 1996 elected leadership; President Elect Gary Wright of C.B. Gary Wright Realty, Inc.; Vice President of Committee Liaison Jim Carollo, Tomlinson Builders Services; and Treasurer Cathy Cavanagh, co-owner of Windermere/Cavanagh, Miller. White was president of the Whatcom County Association of Realtors in 1991.
The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) is presenting its annual Leasing Forecast Breakfast on January 17, at the Bellevue Club. A panel of some of the top brokers in the region will talk about what they see coming up for the industrial and office real estate markets. $18 for members, $28 for non-members. 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. breakfast and program. David Liniger, chairman of the board of Re/Max International, has announced a regional consolidation program designed to expand services to sales associates and broker/owners in a 12-state area of the country. "We have formed a entity called Western Regional Services that will provide a new range of services to three regions - Re/Max Mountain States, Re/Max Pacific Northwest and Re/Max Southwest," Liniger said. "All three regions will retain their separate identities, but we have consolidated accounting and management consultant services in Denver (headquarters)." Liniger said that management consulting services for all offices in the three-region area will be expanded. Two new management consultants have been hired, added to an existing consultant staff of three. Each of the consultants will work with specific offices to help with office management issues such as recruiting, agent retention and profitability.
The deadline for submitting an application for the 1996 Urban Land Institute's Awards for Excellence is May 15, 1996. Virginia Putnam, Executive Officer of the Seattle-King County Association of Realtors, Vic Newhard, of Coldwell Banker Bain Associates in Redmond, and Jessica Kennedy, Windermere Real Estate, RB, Inc., have accepted invitations to serve on the Business Practice Core Committee. Rose Galloway, Windermere-Federal Way, has been named Vice Chairman of the Professional Development Core Committee, and Virginia Commins, Windermere-Roosevelt Square, Bruce Downs, Windermere Northwest, and Gary Danklefsen, Cushman & Wakefield, have accepted appointments to the committee.
North Seattle-Edmonds real estate agent Kyoko Matsumoto Wright has been elected a vice president of the Snohomish County - Camano Island Association of Realtors. As vice president of public relations and communications, she will be responsible for communications with association members and the public, as well as office liaison work, publications, community outreach, recognition programs and advertising.
