Vince DeLuca has been named an associate vice president in the Seattle office of Colliers International. The promotion reflects his performance as a top-producing real estate broker, said Colliers Vice President Rob Aigner.
John Torrance has joined Puget Sound Properties Commercial Real Estate Services, L.L.C. Torrance has more than 30 years' experience in the local real estate industry, where he is known as a deal maker and civic idea man. He is credited with originating the idea for the retractable roof for the new major league ballpark now under construction.
Coldwell Banker Bain Associates has added 10 agents in its Seattle-area offices. In the Bellevue office, Kit Klein, Janet Stoll and Terri Quine have joined the staff. James Raysbrook is new to the Bellevue East office, and Jennifer Robnett now works in the Issaquah office. In the Seattle Metro-Lake Union office, Auti Zarrin and Katarina Pham are the newcomers. And the commercial group has gained Mary Kay Minife, David Poter and Bob Engel.
Edward H. Twaites has joined the Bellevue South office of John L. Scott Real Estate as an associate broker. He has more than 10 years' experience in real estate, having recently worked in investment property procurement with Western Associates.
Pierce College has begun offering on-line real estate courses for new and experienced real estate agents. The courses cover real estate law, brokerage management, purchase and sale agreements, and real estate practices. The classes range from three to five credits (30 to 50 clock hours) and were developed by Bo Cooper, longtime Pierce College real estate instructor. The tuition is $50.50 per credit. The college's Continuing Education program is offering the courses on a continuous-enrollment basis, so students may begin at any time. Carlink Inc. has named Mark Leffingwell to regional sales manager in the greater Seattle, Tacoma, and Everett metropolitan area. Leffingwell will lead the development of auto dealer participation on the Carlink Dealer Registry, and work with business that specialize in auto insurance, leasing, parts, and accessories who wish to build or upgrade web sites. Carlink.com is an auto site on the world wide web.
SEATTLE -- Pursuant to Vice President Al Gore's May designation of Seattle and King County as a "brownfields showcase community" -- one of 16 nationwide that have made laudable strides in cleaning and redeveloping contaminated properties -- the city, county and Port of Seattle will hold a celebration of the honor on Aug. 18. The day-long affair begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. During that time officials will tour brownfields by boat and bus, plus hear briefings on local and federal brownfields initiatives. Four new employees have been brought on at Lease Crutcher Lewis. Guy Baryo has been added to the Information Technology Department, Marlys Henderson and Jesse Thompson have joined the Accounting Department, and Stephen Griep is a new executive assistant. Baryo will put his 12 years of experience to work to improve and maintain LCL's computer and communications systems. Henderson attended Seattle Central Community College, Thompson holds a degree from Quinnipiac College in Connecticut and Griep has experience in administration and property management.
