JPC

Architect Michael L. Jones is managing the new Pioneer Square office of JPC Architecture, Planning and Interior Design. Jones and his four staff members are working on projects for Host Marriott, the Port of Seattle and Kilroy Realty. Eric VanAtta is a project manager with JPC's Seattle office. His experience includes architectural design, construction management, civil engineering and facilities management. Roger Merritt, has joined the firm as manager of JPC Facilities Management Services. His current clients include the Port of Seattle Airport Division, Safeco and Humongous Entertainment. Kevin Sarkady will lead facilities technology at JPC, having developed a program that links CAD drawings to a database. Dean Harris has rejoined the firm as a design architect and currently counts Microsoft, FAA, Onyx and Microvision as clients. New architectural designers at JPC include Lee Labbauf, Shannon Seefeldt, Steve Shilman and Christine Wu. Laura Gygi has joined the firm as an interior designer and Grant Harris will work in facilities management.

Northwest International Bank

Northwest International Bank has opened in Seattle's Metropolitan Park West Tower. Jesse Tam, a Hong Kong native, is president and CEO of the new state-chartered institution. Tam said the bank will focus on local clients with international connections such as businesses, investors and new citizens. The staff currently speaks more than 10 languages and dialects. A total of $7.8 million in capital has been raised to start the bank. Senior officers include Tom Hard, senior vice president and chief lending officer; Jan Gould, senior vice president and chief financial officer; and Don Rapp, senior vice president and real estate manager.

Tower Realty Management

Two new management pros have joined Tower Realty Management Corp. in the Seattle office. Laura Kiekenapp comes to the company in the role of property manager at 520 Pike Tower. She previously had been a building manager with CB Commercial Real Estate Group, where she managed 10 Puget Sound properties with over 623,000 square feet of office, retail and industrial space. Bruce Tuesley has been hired as a leasing manager for 520 Pike Tower. Tuesley previously worked as a project manager at Intracorp in Seattle; prior to that he held leasing and sales positions with Unico Properties, Cushman & Wakefield and IBM.

Alexander Commercial Real Estate

The former David Alexander Co. has changed its name to Alexander Commercial Real Estate. The company has also moved from the 1001 Fourth Avenue Plaza Building to the 29th floor of the Smith Tower. Alexander Commercial Real Estate specializes in services to health care, biopharmaceutical, financial service and high-technology industries.

Windermere

Two Seattle offices of Windermere Real Estate have added new sales agents. Nancy Williams and Katie Brockway have joined the Queen Anne offce. Williams previously worked at Lorig & Associates in Seattle, while Brockway worked at Abbott Real Estate in Seattle. In the Lakeview office, Lori Knuckey has joined the staff after having worked as office manager for Richard Greine DDS.

Coldwell Banker Bain Associates

Kyoko Matsumoto Wright, a sales agent with Coldwell Banker Bain Associates in its Seattle-Capitol Hill office, has been elected president of the Snohomish County-Camano Association of Realtors for 1999. She has served on SCCAR's board of directors for seven years and in a variety of roles. A member of the firm since 1983, she is one of the top producers nationwide for Coldwell Banker.

Ballard Library

First-time homebuyers are invited to three free workshops at the Ballard Library to learn about the homebuying process.
