CREW-Northwest

Commercial Real Estate Women Northwest has honored Joni Henry as Member of the Year for her contributions to the organization and her pioneering status in the commercial real estate industry.

"Joni has been instrumental with the program committee and recruiting new members to the organization as well as offering one-on-one support to members whenever she was asked to help," said CREW President Angelia Harlow.

Now semi-retired, Henry began her commercial real estate career in 1976 when she joined Coldwell Banker Commercial, now CB Richard Ellis. She was one of the first women in the industry and the first to come up through the CB ranks to become a vice president. In her 21 years with CB, she was in the top 10 in sales from 1978 to 1989 and in 1990 she was the top sales person in Seattle.

She retired from CB Richard Ellis two years ago and now does real estate consulting work through Kidder, Mathews & Segner for non-profit organizations such as the YWCA, City Club and Seattle Children's Home. She donates her commissions to the organizations.

Colliers International

Jana Ellis has joined the Bellevue office of Colliers International as a commercial real estate agent. She specializes in office leasing and sales. She is a graduate of the University of Florida where she received a bachelor's degree in political science.

Trammell Crow Co.

The Trammell Crow Co.'s Seattle office has been selected by AMB Property Corp., to manage the recently renamed East Valley Warehouse, AMB's latest acquisition in the Puget Sound region. Earlier this year, AMB bought the 654,000-square-foot warehouse, formerly Eagle Hardware's distribution center, from Benaroya Capital Co., for $27.25 million. Webvan, a Bay Area online grocery company in which AMB is an investor, is leasing 350,000 square feet of the warehouse for its first Seattle-area distribution center.

LION

Renton-based LION Inc., a mortgage services company that was one of the first American companies to do business over the Internet, and its wholly owned subsidiary, Lioninc.com, have announced three changes.

The Board of Directors will recommend at the shareholders' meeting early next year that the two entities merge into one company. John H. McMillan, CEO of LION Inc., has been given the additional responsibilities of president. And Lioninc.com will form an Office of the President that will report to the Executive Committee. The Office of the President will divide responsibilities between co-presidents Sam Ringer and Ritchie Campbell.

Seattle Mortgage

Seattle Mortgage Co.'s Dean Mix and Bill Morrow have lined up financing for two condo-conversion projects and a new housing development. Legacy Homes NW is selling homes in the Silver Lake area just south of Everett for $179,950 to $204,950. Seattle Mortgage is financing the loan of $7.345 million for Legacy. In Shoreline, $6.639 million in financing was provided for the conversion to condos of the 78-unit Forest Villa apartments. And in University Place, $4.55 million in financing was provided to Narrows East LLC, which is converting a 68-unit apartment complex called Narrows East.

MSN HomeAdvisor

Microsoft's MSN HomeAdvisor online real estate service, has announced a multi-year deal with ImproveNet Inc., a Web home improvement resource. It is the latest in a string of services, such as FurnitureFind.com, SchoolMatch and CrimeCheck, that MSN officials have added in the company's site in its quest to create the definitive resource about the home.

Windermere

Two Windermere Real Estate offices in Seattle neighborhoods worked with the Windermere Foundation to help two families find shelter. Agents in the Capitol Hill office gave $500 and the staff of the Madison Park office donated $1,200. The money was used by one family to obtain emergency shelter and another to pay first and last months rent on an apartment.

Joshua Marsh has joined Windermere's Queen Anne office in Seattle as a sales associate. He previously was manager of Iden's Detailing in Seattle.

Qpoint

Kevin Lane has been named branch manager for the Lake Stevens office of Qpoint Home Mortgage Loans. He is a 10-year veteran of the mortgage industry, and the Lane family has been in the mortgage and real estate business for 50 years. Lane joins Qpoint after three years with Network Mortgage Services where he was vice president and loan production manager.

Re/Max

Re/Max International says it now offers the Re/Max Satellite Network and Mainstreet, an extranet service, to all of its 54,000 affiliates in 33 countries. The steps are related to the company's plan to offer a completely electronic network of support services. Among the features of Mainstreet are live chat rooms for Re/Max employees, a multimedia lane for affiliates to download news clips, a real estate library and online training.
