Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo has added John Lo to its real estate group as vice president and relationship manager. Based in Seattle, Lo will be responsible for clients in the entire Puget Sound region as well as in the Spokane area.

Specifically Lo will work on providing custom financing to commercial real estate developers and investors for income and residential projects, including acquisition, bridge and development loans.

Previously Lo worked in investment banking in the Los Angeles office of Eastdil. In September, Wells Fargo completed a deal to acquire the privately-held Eastdil. Terms were undisclosed.

CREW discusses finance trends

Senior Vice President Roberta Fuhr will speak at the next lunch meeting of Commercial Real Estate Women, scheduled for noon, Jan. 11 in the Crystal Room at the Washington Athletic Club in downtown Seattle. Fuhr is Senior Vice President, Western Manager, Key Commercial Real Estate, and is responsible for a $1.5 billion commercial and residential portfolio. Norris, Beggs & Simpson

Greg Baker has been named as senior finance officer of the Bellevue-based finance division. Baker is a University of Washington graduate and has been involved in commercial real estate finance in the Puget Sound for over 20 years. His background includes originating construction and permanent loans for insurance companies, conduits, banks, and private lenders.

Spieker Properties, Inc.

John Gleason has joined the Seattle management team as project director for the portfolio of industrial properties managed by Spieker. Gleason's 15-year real estate career includes working with several national real estate companies, overseeing the management and leasing activities of industrial parks, commercial office buildings, as well as multi-property portfolios.

Harbor Properties

Richard Lyon and Charlie Laboda have joined the Harbor Properties' development division. Lyon will act as assistant project manager, bringing more than nine years of diverse real estate development experience with him. He previously served as project manager for real estate projects for various companies, including ERA Care, Development Consulting, Morse Brothers, and Heartland Consulting. Laboda will take on the role of project manager, leading the construction of new multi-use projects. Prior to joining Harbor Properties, he was vice president of Dally Homes, Inc. and has been involved in the development and construction fields in the Northwest since 1985.

Federal Home Loan Bank

The board of directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle recently approved the promotions of Robin McManus and Gregory Teare to vice president. McManus was chief information officer. In her new role, she is responsible for identifying and implementing the bank's technology efforts. Teare directs the bank's newest business line — buying mortgage portfolios in the secondary market.

Lane Powell Spears Lubersky

Paul McCarthy has been elected partner at the law firm of Lane Powell Spears Lubersky in the Seattle office. McCarthy concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate, commercial transactions and banking law.
