Crowley Maritime

Oakland-based Crowley Maritime Corp. has acquired the Alaska-based fuel distribution business of Northland Fuel. The purchase consists of the assets of Yukon Fuel Co., Northland Vessel Leasing and the stock of Service Oil and Gas. Crowley also acquired the assets of Yutana Barge Lines from an affiliated company. As a condition of the acquisition, Crowley has agreed to sell some assets to Seattle-based petroleum distributor Delta Western, including tugs, barges and fuel storage capacity at Bethel.

Ferguson

Joe Ferguson has joined the Seattle real estate economics company Gardner Johnson as a market analyst. He will analyze commercial and residential markets. He previously worked for Grubb & Ellis in Denver.

Signature Destinations Club

Poole

Tom Poole of the Highliner Group has joined Kirkland-based Signature Destination Club's board of directors. Billed as the first regionally focused residence club, Signature members get 56 days a year in luxury homes. It's starting in the Northwest and plans to expand. Poole has 20 years of experience advising technology, construction, medical, Internet and financial-related companies and groups. He founded Highliner Group. His Internet career began 10 years ago with senior.com, which was acquired in 2000 by a joint venture of Compaq Computer and PacifiCare Health Systems.

Mastro Properties

Gary English, CFO of Seattle-based Mastro Properties, reports the company sold nearly $49 million worth of properties in August and acquired almost $25.5 million. Among the larger sales was Willows 124A and B, a Redmond office, for nearly $27.4 million. Mastro sold 363 residential lots in Richmond, Calif. ($3.2 million) and 700 acres in Palm Springs, Calif., for residential and commercial development ($2.8 million). Among the acquisitions was the Athena Apartments on Seattle's Queen Anne Hill for $21 million and an apartment site at 85th and Greenwood in Seattle for $1.8 million. The company's year-to-date transactions top $215 million. That compares to $114 million during the same period in 2004.

Hendricks & Partners

Landmark Development sold Foster Commons, a 72-unit apartment property at 5700 S. 129th St. in Seattle, to Larry Wolfe of Long Beach Calif., for $6 million. David Young of Hendricks & Partners negotiated the deal.

ScanlanKemperBard

A joint venture of Portland-based ScanlanKemperBard and The Praedium Group of New York bought the 440,600-square-foot Phoenix Corporate Center for $49 million from Transwestern Investment Services. The eight-building project on 33 acres is nearly 79 percent leased. The acquisition includes land for another building. The price equals $113 per square foot. Phoenix's average office sales price is $172, according to ScanlanKemperBard. The city has approved funding for a light rail line with a stop next to the property. The Palmer Team brokered the deal. Transwestern Commercial Services will manage and lease the property.

Windermere Real Estate

New sales associates at Windermere's Mercer Island office are Charles Bohanon, Cassandra Chamberlain, Dena Chavez, Sasha Khosraw, Jahneen Schenck, Becky Shaddle, Sholeh Vaziri and Jeffrey Yuen.

Seattle-based Windermere has opened an affiliate office in Henderson, Nev. Windermere Real Estate/Henderson-Anthem Hills is the company's third office in the Las Vegas area. Stephen and Di Redman and Dennis and Robyn Yates are the owners. It will concentrate on residential resales but also handle new construction and commercial real estate. It has 25 sales associates. The plan is to hire up to 40 agents by year's end.
