Low Income Housing Institute

Robin Amadon returns to the Low Income Housing Institute in Seattle as housing development director. She has worked in affordable housing development and management since 1996 in the Seattle area, and was a senior developer at LIHI until 2008. LIHI develops, owns and operates housing, with 44 properties in the state.

Common Ground

Housing nonprofit Common Ground of Seattle hired Tina Ilvonen and Lachlan “Lach” Foss as developers. Ilvonen, a senior project manager, was a vice president with US Bank, where she oversaw lending relationships for an $85 million portfolio. Foss, a senior construction manager, previously worked at Woodman Construction and Ned Nelson Architects in Bellevue. Common Ground provides development services and training, and has helped develop more than 6,200 units.

NeighborCity

NeighborCity, an online residential real estate service that matches home buyers and sellers with agents, named the top 10 agents in Seattle based on service to clients rather than sales volume. They are Trevor Smith, Redfin; Charles Cady, Re/Max Northwest; Scott Anderson, Windermere; Allie Howard, Redfin; Peder Nielsen, Home Realty; Klaus Gosma, Redfin; Anthony Pagones, Windermere; Chad Pluid, Redfin; Debbie Lee, Matrix Real Estate; and Michael Ravenscroft, Windermere.

Homestead, Wells Fargo

Homestead Community Land Trust received $200,000 from Wells Fargo in the form of an “equity equivalent investment” loan. Homestead provides affordable housing in King County by offering what it says is a low-risk path to homeownership. Wells Fargo gave Homestead a $150,000 grant last year. Homestead uses the money to buy, rehab and sell distressed and bank-owned properties.

NAIOP social media program

NAIOP's 7:30 a.m. July 18 breakfast program at Sheraton Seattle will look at the effects of social media on commercial real estate. Natalie Price of Frause will moderate a discussion by Brandon Weber of CBRE, Rob Gubas of Colliers International, and Emi McKittrick, former marketing director of Harbor Urban.
