The Rotary Club of Seattle has elected David C. Cortelyou as president, replacing Bruce A. Walker. Cortelyou has been with Seattle real estate development and management firm UNICO Properties for over 30 years, staring his career in 1936 in the leasing department. Since 1992, he has served as president and chief executive officer. Cortelyou is past president of the Building Owners & Managers Association of Seattle and King County, the Downtown Seattle Association and Washington Athletic Club, and board member of the UW Alumni Association.

Lee Graeve has joined National Mortgage as a vice president and loan officer. Graeve has 19 years of commercial real estate lending experience. Previously, he was associated with BA Mortgage, an international realty corporation.
Cokie Roberts, political analyst for National Public Radio and ABC News, will be the keynote speaker at the National Network of Commercial Real Estate Women (NNCREW) convention in Seattle. The convention will be held Sept. 28-30 at the Seattle Sheraton Hotel. Additional featured speakers include: Leanne Lachman, Schroder Real Estate Associates in New York; Anthony Stoken, Anthony Russell & Associates in Toronto; and Susan RoAne, author. Tom Abbott of Cushman & Wakefield of Washington Inc., has moved into the role of senior director. Abbott, who has been with the company for 17 years, served 14 years as managing director and branch manager of the Seattle and Bellevue offices. Cushman & Wakefield has also been named strategic real estate partner for GTE Corporation in its eastern and western zones. GTE has over 6,000 owned and leased properties and approximately 35 million square feet in its eastern and western zone portfolio.
CB Commercial Real Estate Group Inc. has opened an office in Tukwila, at 16400 Southcenter Parkway, Suite 100. The office will serve Tukwila, Renton, Kent, Auburn, Sea-Tac and Fife. Agents in the office include Lane Bockman, Milton Reimers, Brett Hartzell, Ed Hogan, Jr., Mary Lee, Mike Roy, John Gilliland, Jim Toepel and Jeff Crane.
The Schuster Group of Bellevue has acquired the property management contracts for Leschi Shores Condominium Complex in Seattle, The Dominique Apartments in Seattle and the Parkside Plaza Retail Center in Auburn.
Windermere Real Estate's 46 Puget Sound offices finished sixth among the nation's top 250 brokerages for closed transaction sides, according to an annual survey conducted by REAL Trends, a national industry newsletter. The rankings do not include Windermere's 91 franchise and affiliate offices.
