Seattle Mortgage

Don Delzell, vice president in charge of loan administration for Seattle Mortgage Co., has passed the Certified Mortgage Bankers accreditation exam. The CMB designation is awarded to mortgage banking professionals who have both experience and demonstrated knowledge in residential and commercial real estate finance. Delzell has been with Seattle Mortgage since 1984. Previously, he worked in real estate lending and banking. Delzell currently sits on several state and national committees and industry panels, and has assisted in writing an MBA textbook titled "Handbook of Loan Administration."

Low & Associates, a new full service investment real estate appraisal and consulting firm, has recently opened. The firm is located at 218 Main St., Suite 495, in Kirkland.

The Norman Company

The Norman Company is representing Citibank in the property management and leasing of Franklin Park Mall, Highland Center and Best Plaza. The three retail buildings totaling approximately 500,000 square feet are located in Spokane, Kennewick and Federal Way.

CB Commercial

CB Commercial has added Steve O'Dell as new senior vice president and managing officer of brokerage services. O'Dell began his career in 1979 in the Denver downtown office of CB Commercial.

Windermere

Windermere Real Estate has hired several new sales associates to their offices in the greater Seattle area. They include: Dave Norton, Kirkland; Kristin Johnson, Sand Point; Jason Holtzclaw and Cristina Landon, Burien; and Suzanne Popp, Auburn.

Master Builders scholarship

Seven Washington students in building related fields have been awarded scholarships from The Scholarship Trust of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties. Recipients for 1995 include: Alex Baird, John McKenna and Derek Tisdel, Central Washington University; Maja Erickson, Christopher Kelly and Peter O'ttellle, University of Washington; and Jeffrey Jurgenson, Washington State University.

Home buying seminar

A free, daylong seminar on how to buy your first home will be offered to area residents on Saturday Sept. 23, from 9 am to 3 pm at Metropolitan Savings, 8318 15th Ave. N.W., in Seattle. The seminar includes information on how to determine maximum monthly mortgage payments and what types of flexible loan programs are available.
