Hallmark Mortgage

Hallmark Mortgage of Bellevue has added a Bellingham location to its net branch system. The new Bellingham branch is led by manager Linda Mercadante. Bernie and Brenda Bringhurst are in charge of sales management and loan processing. Joining them will be Jeff Albrecht, Lori Aswegan, Pete DeHaas and Ken Kelso, all veteran loan consultants with experience in both conforming and credit challenged loans.

WSU

Washington State University civil engineering professor Roy Pellerin has been named Wood Materials and Engineering Laboratory director. He succeeds Tom Maloney. Pellerin has been on the teaching faculty at WSU since 1985 and specializes in non-destructive testing and structural properties of wood. He is co-inventor of 12 patented systems for grading wood, testing beams, tensile measurement, axial load testing and evaluating the mechanical properties of composite materials.

Cushman & Wakefield, Inc

Valerie Foster, has joined the Valuation Advisory Services group at the Seattle office of Cushman and Wakefield, Inc. Her responsibilities will include expanding tax consulting and appraisal services. Foster has spent the last four years with the regional appraisal and consulting firm Shorett & Riely/Wronsky Gibbons & Riely. Cushman & Wakefield is an international real estate services firm with 39 offices in the U.S.

Windermere adds sales associates

Windermere announces the addition of five sales associates: Bellevue Commons' Lenora Wainhouse has two years of real estate experience and comes to Windermere prior to working with John L. Scott. Greg Arnquist, with Windermere-Bellevue South, has 12 years experience as an appraiser, owner of Arnquist Appraisal in Issaquah since 1989. Joan Campion also with Bellevue Commons, began her real estate career this year with Home Realty Richmond. Colleen Lynch and Ann Luce join the Windermere-Woodinville office, both are new to real estate. Luce has worked as a customer service loan representative in banking for over 15 years, most recently with Washington Mutual Savings. Lynch has owned and operated the Little Country Preschool since 1989.

Buchan Homes, Windermere join forces

After nearly 25 years with John L. Scott Real Estate, John F. Buchan Homes has moved its sales and marketing account to Windermere. The move prompted the opening of a new Windermere office to service the business, the Bellevue North office located at 2821 Northup Way. In a joint operating agreement, Buchan manages the branch which is located in the Buchan Building on Northup Way. Windermere Builder Services maintains ownership while providing brokerage services. The Bellevue North office will handle all John F. Buchan new homes sales, and also provide full resale, new construction and other general brokerage services. Real Estate veteran Becky Schade, who previously managed an office for John L. Scott, will serve as the new branch manager of Windermere's Bellevue North office.

Windermere

Windermere Real Estate's Builder Services office announces the addition of five associates. Ann Holland, returns to Windermere as a sales associate, after a one year hiatus. She has 21 years experience in the real estate industry. Barbara Smith, a certified residential broker, joins Windermere from Quandrant Real Estate Services with eight years of experience. Sunae Fosmark has been in real estate for the past four years and joins Windermere as a sales associate. Lisa Winters comes to Windermere from Quadrant Real Estate Services as a sales associate with two years of real estate experience. Andrea Snoey returns to Windermere after one year with Quadrant.

Coldwell Banker

Seattle's Coldwell Banker Bain Associates, recently announced the acquisition of two more offices, Eastside Reality, Inc. in Issaquah and North Bend. In Issaquah, Coldwell Banker Bain will continue operating the existing real estate office at 160 N.W. Gilman Blvd. David Kingery, former broker for the office will continue as managing broker. In North Bend, the Eastside Realty operation is being absorbed into Coldwell Banker Bain's recently acquired office at 103 North Bend Blvd., the former sales office for Chic Realty. The managing broker is Terry Hill, and former Eastside Reality broker Harry Buhler will remain with the North Bend sales team as an associate broker. In other changes, John Deely, a former broker with Prudential Properties, has been named managing broker for Coldwell Banker Bain's Mercer Island office. Deely will be replacing Joe Spencer, who has been names Coldwell Banker Bain's chief operating officer, where he will oversee branch operations and corporate marketing. Also, Mike Grady, former managing broker of the Duvall/Monroe/Carnation area office, has been named executive vice president.

Transfer of property

Trammell Crow Company will assume property management responsibilities for Lake Forest Park Towne Centre as of Dec. 1. Birtcher Property Services will no longer be responsible for the property. Tim Dickerson is property manager.

CREW luncheon

Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) presents their December luncheon featuring one of Seattle's largest commercial real estate developers, Martin Selig. Selig will explain the history behind his developments and talk about why he is optimistic about future developments. The luncheon will be held at Noon, Dec. 13, at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel & Towers, 1400 6th Ave., Seattle. $22.50 for member and $30 for non-members. Real estate course offered

South Seattle Community College will offer "Successful home buying and selling" real estate course this winter quarter. It is a three-part series designed to cover all aspects of the home buying and selling process. The courses will be held Feb. 29, Mar. 7 and 14, 6:00 -9:30 p.m., $45. ASPIRE workshop

ASPIRE will be presenting a workshop, " Real estate as part of your retirement," on Dec. 5, 7-9 p.m. at the Shoreline Conference Center, Cromwell Room, 18560 First Ave. N.E., Shoreline. Donna Hayes of Preferred Pension Consultants, Inc. (Bellingham), will speak on retirement accounts (IRA's) and how real estate investing can play a key role in securing the future and planning for a comfortable retirement. Real estate and land use update seminar

Foster, Pepper & Shefelman presents the "Annual Real Estate and Land Use Update," a seminar that focuses on recent real estate and bankruptcy developments, the impact of pending federal legislation, land use regulations and current environmental issues. The seminar will be held on Dec. 6, at the Seattle Sheraton Hotel, 2nd floor, 1400 6th Ave, Seattle.
