Starbucks & Westin

Westin Hotels & Resorts and Starbucks Coffee Co. have announced an agreement which makes the specialty coffee manufacturer the exclusive coffee supplier for Westin's 35 owned and managed properties in the United States and Canada. The agreement will be fully implemented by March 31.

McCann-Erickson Seattle

McCann-Erickson Seattle has promoted Kurt Reifschneider to vice president. Reifschneider joined McCann in 1994 as art director, and was promoted to senior art director the following year. Previously, he worked at Sharp Hartwig and Cranborn Chase. The Bon Marche has chosen McCann-Erickson Seattle to handle its broadcast media account, estimated at $10 million annually. McCann will be responsible for media planning, buying and sponsorships. Sheryl Hudson, McCann Seattle's VP/media director, will be responsible for broadcast planning. Susan Matalon VP, local broadcast manager, will be responsible for broadcast buying.

Zevenbergen Capital, Inc.

Zevenbergen Capital, Inc., a locally owned growth equity investment company, has promoted Lisa Foley to principal. Foley will have primary responsibility for the firm's investment operations and serves as the firm's manager of client services and head trader.

The Rockey Company

Fernando Vivanco, an account executive at The Rockey Company, has been named "Young Professional of the Year" by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Professionals with one to three years in the field were eligible for the award. Vivanco provides public relations and marketing counsel to companies in the sports, manufacturing, professional service and entertainment industries. His current and recent clients include Brooks Sports, Nintendo of America, Ticketmaster, Seattle Symphony, REI, Western Washington University, LMN Architects and Mazda.

Northwest Airlines

Starting July 1 Northwest Airlines will offer service between Seattle and Jakarta, Indonesia three times a week. The new service, which will operate via a stop at Osaka's Kansai International Airport, will offer the first flights by a U.S. airline to Jakarta. Travelers will be able to enjoy scheduled, direct service between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Indonesia, subject to government approval.

World Wrapps

World Wrapps, a quick service restaurant creating healthy, delicious and unusual recipes from around the world, wrapped in a tortilla, is opening a store in Kirkland on April 1. Their namesake product, the Wrapp, is a burrito-like item that combines gourmet, multi-cultural cuisine wrapped inside whole wheat, low-fat, traditional, or World Wrapps' original spinach or roma tomato tortillas. The management team for World Wrapps' include Brad Pettinger, Director of Operations; Roger Greene, Chef; Laura Conway; and Greg Flynn, President. The Kirkland store will be located at 124 Lake Street South.

Financial Maintenance Corporation

Evergreen Community Development Association (ECDA) has approved $131,000 in Small Business Administration (SBA) Section 504 funds to allow Financial Maintenance Corporation to purchase a new office space, expanding the size of their company. ECDA is an independent, non-profit company that creates partnerships with banks and successful small businesses throughout the Northwest by linking eligible borrowers and their bank with SBA's Section 504 program. Financial Maintenance Corporation, with partnership financing from National Bank of Tukwila and Evergreen, will be doubling the size of their office and warehouse space with the move to their new facility. The firm is preparing for the addition of ten new full-time positions with the completion of the company's expansion. Financial Maintenance Corporation is a sales and management organization specializing in property maintenance, landscape maintenance, construction and business insurance consulting services.

Compass Point Yachts

Compass Point Yachts, Inc., the Northwest's exclusive dealership of Ocean Alexander and Silverton yachts, has launched a new division, Compass Point Yacht Charters. The new division offers year round service for chartering luxury Ocean Alexander yachts that range from new vessels to those no more than five years old. As a result of the expansion Jon Howe has been hired as yacht broker and manager of the new division.

Goodale & Barbieri Companies

The Broadview Dairy is expanding its dairy operation in Eastern Washington as a result of its acquisition of the College Dairy in College Place, Wash. Broadview Dairy will establish a new distribution center in the Walla Walla Valley, allowing the dairy to expand its customer base in the region as well as continue to serve existing College Dairy customers. Broadview Dairy, owned by Inland Northwest Dairies, is a subsidiary of Goodale and Barbieri Companies, a diversified holding company which owns, develops, and operates commercial and residential real estate, entertainment, food service, and hospitality businesses throughout the Northwest.
