Hart Crowser

Garry Horvitz has joined the board of directors of Hart Crowser, Inc. Horvitz is principal engineer in the firm's corporate headquarters in Seattle. Constance Taylor, a principal and manager of Oregon operations in the Portland office and Ron Elgin, president and CEO of Elgin/Syferd/DDB Needham in Seattle were also elected to the board. Horvitz is Hart Crowser's most senior principal engineer, and was lead engineer in many downtown Seattle commercial and industrial redevelopment projects, including the Port of Seattle's Bell Street Pier and Wright Runstad's Central Waterfront development. He provided project management for the design and construction of Interstate-90 between I-5 and the Kingdome, including the transit lanes leading to Union Station. He is currently involved in the development of Southwest Harbor Island Terminal 5 for the Port of Seattle.

Sterlings Savings Association

Douglas N. Cutting and Chung-Han Kim have joined Sterling's Commercial Lending office in Bellevue as loan officers. Most recently, Cutting was senior commercial loan officer and chief credit officer. And, Kim was assistant manager and credit officer of the Korea Exchange Bank.

Olympic Capital Partners

Steven M. Dorsey has joined Seattle-based Olympic Capital Partners L.L.C., a provider of financial advisory and intermediary services, as an associate. Dorsey comes from U.S. Bank where he was a financial analyst and loan officer.

Toll Free Cellular

Denise Fortner Anderson and Gini Salvador have joined Seattle-based Toll Free Cellular, providing first toll and airtime-free service for cellular telephone users, as director of network operations and manager of carrier relations. Anderson has held managerial and consulting positions with several telephone companies, carriers consultants and equipment manufacturers. Prior to joining Toll Free Cellular, Salvador served as an account executive for Walker & Quinn Inc. of Seattle.

McCormick Woods Golf Course

Scott Candland has been named general manager at McCormick Woods, a golf course located in Port Orchard. Prior to that, Candland served as regional vice president with Village Resorts, a management company with properties throughout the West., and was most recently assigned to Port Ludlow Resort.

CB Commercial

Ed Curtis has been promoted to first vice president. Curtis has been with CB Commercial for eight years, specializing in office sales and leasing.

Souza elected to state leadership

Phil Souza has been elected 1997 treasurer at the Washington Association of Realtor's Spring Real Estate Conference in Bellevue. His association responsibilities will begin January 1, 1997. Duties will include overseeing the financial operations of the state's largest trade organization.

ASPIRE

ASPIRE will present a seminar, "Lease Purchasing" on May 7, 7 p.m. at Shoreline Unitarian Church. Guest speaker Claude Diamond will be outlining his program and successes in lease purchasing and providing attendees with information and resources to increase their investment profits. Windermere

Margo Johnson has re-joined the Lakeview office after working with Seattle Heights Condominiums for two years, in sales and marketing. She has been a realtor since 1988. The West Seattle office has announced the addition of Emily Cotton. Cotton joins Windermere as a sales associate.

Coldwell Banker Bain

Kathryn M. Paulson has joined the Kirkland office of Coldwell Banker Bain Associates. Paulson, a former sales associate of John L. Sales Real Estate, brings to the real estate area a broad range of business skills and a background in financial analysis.

FHA 203k rehab loans

Free workshops are being offered by the Mountlake Terrace Branch of Continental Mortgage Company on the FHA 203k rehab and remodel loan, as well as an new loan called the FHA Plus. The 203k loan allows one to make repairs or improvements to an existing home and roll the cost of the work done into a low-interest home mortgage. The workshops are taught by Paul Rogers, and other loan officers at the Mountlake Terrace Branch who specialize in the FHA loans. The workshops are held every Monday at 6 p.m., every Tuesday at noon and 6 p.m. The workshops last about one and a half hours. Admission is free. For more information call 771-2500.
