Cushman & Wakefield's Global Board of Directors has named Bruce Mosler president and chief executive officer of the firm, effective Jan. 1. He will succeed President and CEO Arthur J. Mirante II. Mosler said the company will emphasize expansion in core U.S. markets and continue to recruit brokers and acquire select firms.

Starting next week, GVA Kidder Mathews and Grubb & Ellis agents will use the VerticalEmail.com platform to share listings and leads, officials of the Portland company say. VerticalEmail sends e-mails to targeted audiences, but message recipients -- not senders -- control what they receive. Subscribers outline what kinds of properties they want to review. When other subscribers send out messages, VerticalEmail.com reviews them and sends them to only interested parties.

Capstone Partners

Terry Rennaker has joined Capstone Partners as a principal in the Seattle office. He previously was U.S. director of critical facilities for the development and investment division of Trammell Crow Co. Capstone, which has offices in Seattle and Portland, plans, finances, implements and manages real estate investments for clients in the Northwest and Nevada. It expects to handle $100 million in projects next year.

Quadrant Homes, Merit Financial

Washington CEO magazine has named Quadrant Homes the best mid-sized company to work for. Another Eastside real estate company, Merit Financial, finished third in the same category.

Robert E. Voight and Charlotte Vanlaningham have joined BC Real Estate Associates. Voight is the Bellevue company's land development and new home specialist. Vanlaningham is a sales associate. BC focuses on residential land acquisition and marketing new home communities.

John L. Scott Real Estate reports another record-breaking sales month in May. Exact numbers were unavailable because not every office had compiled their numbers. The record was set despite increasing interest rates, which company officials said were off set by the improving economy and related job growth. Also, Alison Ybarra is the new managing broker of the John L. Scott Gig Harbor office.

Stewart Title

Stewart Title Co., has acquired Whitman County Title of Pullman. Stewart also recently opened an office in Spokane.

Green development discussion

There will be a discussion on "green" development at 6:30 p.m. June 15 at REI, 222 Yale Ave. N., Seattle. Panelists Bert Gregory of Mithun, Mark Huppert of Catapult Community Developers, Douglas Howe of Touchstone and Hamilton Hazlehurst of Vulcan Inc., will discuss why Seattle has become the nexus for the sustainable development movement.

NAIOP members will hear about three downtown Bellevue projects at the 7 a.m. June 16 breakfast at the Bellevue Club, 11200 S.E.
