JLL promotes Patricia Raicht

Jones Lang LaSalle has promoted Patricia Raicht to national director and senior vice president, leading research teams throughout the western region. She previously headed the Pacific Northwest research team. Raicht is also a certified green broker. JLL has a global workforce of 58,000 people, with 230 offices in 80 countries.

Payne joins U.S. Bank Seattle

U.S. Bank named James Payne market manager of commercial real estate in Seattle. Payne has worked for U.S. Bank for nine years in Denver. In 2012, he was on an advisory panel of millennial employees that helped shape student banking products, technology and social media strategy. U.S. Bank has been in the Puget Sound region for more than 100 years, with more than 1,300 employees in 92 branches locally. Stadium Place and The Martin are two local projects it has financed recently.

Utterback joins Port of Seattle

Utterback

Port of Seattle hired Jeffrey Utterback as director of real estate development. Utterback will lead major planning and development projects for the port, and evaluate the potential of its real estate holdings. Utterback worked as a senior managing director in the Northwest for Kennedy Wilson, and also ran his own fee-development business. He was an investment officer for the Washington State Investment Board.

Terreno pays $8M for Sodo building

Terreno Realty Corp. of San Francisco said it acquired a 51,000-square-foot industrial building at 4225 Second Ave. S. in Sodo for $8.3 million. The building has seven loading positions and parking for 22 cars, and is 100 percent leased. Terreno buys, owns and operates industrial real estate in several U.S. markets.

Bill Condon named emerging leader

Condon

Bill Condon of Colliers International was honored as an emerging industrial leader by the national publication Real Estate Forum. Condon, a managing director and executive vice president, oversees the Seattle office and has sold and leased more than 35 million square feet of industrial space valued at more than $1 billion. Condon and Matt McGregor manage a four-person team focused on large tenant representation, and leasing and sales for landlords.

Frederickson site sold for $2.5M

Davis Property & Investment and Schuchart Hutchinson acquired a 40-acre site in Frederickson for $2.5 million. The land is permitted for a 900,000-square-foot industrial building and could accommodate smaller buildings as well. Neighboring businesses include Whirlpool, Ikea and Boeing. Schuchart Hutchinson is a partnership of the Schuchart and Hutchinson families that specializes in office and industrial property. Davis Property & Investment was founded in 1998, and has done industrial projects in Sumner and Lacey.

Kidder Mathews opens its 12th office

Kidder Mathews opened its 12th office on the West Coast in the Sacramento suburb of Roseville, California. Kidder Mathews hired 10 brokers and support staff with experience in the area. Kevin Sheehan, an office specialist, is managing partner. Kidder Mathews also opened offices in San Diego and Phoenix this year. Kidder Mathews plans to open an office in Orange County soon and in San Francisco in a year or two.

NAIOP looks at population boom

The Puget Sound region's population is expected to reach 5 million by 2040. Josh Brown, executive director of Puget Sound Regional Council, will discuss how to deal with all these new people at a Nov. 18 breakfast meeting of the Washington chapter of NAIOP, starting at 7 a.m. at Four Seasons Seattle.
