Description
This project is the final link in completing the HOV system on the Eastside,
tying into the Stage 1 project at the state Route 527 interchange in
Canyon Park. It extends the HOV lanes from Canyon Park to Lynnwood,
where I-405 joins I-5.
Included in the construction are the widening of seven bridges, four
noise walls and 10 new retaining walls. A large part of the project
involves construction of water detention systems to regulate stormwater
runoff.
The project also includes cameras and traffic data gathering equipment
for monitoring traffic conditions and volume.
