Location: 600 Fourth Ave., Seattle

Height: 100 feet from Fifth Avenue, including seven stories and two lower levels

Project cost: $72 million

Groundbreaking: April 4, 2001

Topping out: April 15, 2002


Tenants: Mayor’s office, City Council, city clerk, Office of Intergovernmental Relations, Office of Planning and Management, Department of Finance, Seattle Channel, Citizen Service Bureau, city attorney/civil division

Opening:The targeted substantial completion date was April 15, though the city will wait until June to begin moving in. The official dedication will be in September.

LEED certification: The new City Hall was designed under the city’s sustainable-building policy, enacted in 2000. The building is expected to reap a LEED silver rating.
