Cable Plus has appointed Matthew Schiltz as president and chief operating officer, and Robert McCambridge as chief financial officer. Schiltz formerly served as vice president of operations at Cable Plus. McCambridge was formerly with Control Data Corp. where he held the position of treasurer and vice president of corporate development. Cable Plus, a private company backed by Craig O. McCaw, provides telecommunication systems in 13 states, and is widely regarded as the premier private cable and telephone operator for multi-unit residential communities.
Technical Communications Consultants, Inc. (TCCI), has been purchased by Peggy Jacobson, Ph. D., who will become the firm's chief executive. TCCI is a documentation and presentation graphics company based in Seattle. The company was founded in 1978 by Colleen Brady and provides workflow analysis, policy and procedures manuals, software documentation, regulatory compliance documentation, training, and business presentation strategies, graphics and illustrations to its international client base.
Sound Telecom, an Issaquah-based company, has opened a national call center in Spokane covering the Eastern Washington region. The purpose of the center is to serve its business-to-business customers with a national in-bound call center, providing a range of integrated telephone answering services. Sound Telecom will continue to expand its Western Washington operation center by adding new services, advanced equipment and additional employees.

West Coast Paper Company, Seattle, has hired Bob Owsley as sales manager of industrial packaging products. Owsley will manage industrial packaging sales, which includes the 11-member packaging sales force, expanding product offering, and assisting with territory planning and sales calls. West Coast Paper Company's industrial packaging unit distributes shipping and packaging supplies and equipment, as well as computer and office supplies to retail stores, mailing houses, schools and businesses.

The Chronology Corporation has appointed David Evans to the positions of president and CEO. With more than 15 years experience in electronic design automation (EDA), Evans is a founder of a successful EDA start-up company and a former Cadence and Hewlett-Packard executive. Chronology Corporation is a leading supplier of software for specification-driven verification of digital circuits. Their offices are located in Redmond.

John Swapp, owner of JetPoint Technologies, has established his abrasive waterjet cutting company in Sedro-Woolley's Sunset Industrial Park. Abrasive waterjet cutting is a computer-controlled process that can cut almost any material into precise shapes using a "directed beam" of water at pressures of up to 55,000 pounds per square inch. Glumac has expanded its mechanical engineering division by adding John Duffy to its staff. As mechanical designer, and engineer-in-training, Duffy is responsible for HVAC and plumbing system design and for construction management. His projects include Tokyo Electron in Hillsboro and the Nike Day Care Center in Beaverton. Duffy was a project engineer with Baugh Construction before moving to Glumac. Allen Arnold has been added to Glumac's mechanical engineering division as mechanical designer. A graduate of Portland State University, Arnold is currently designing mechanical systems for the Washington County Community Detention Center. Before joining Glumac, Arnold worked on west side light rail for Siemens Transportation. Arnold is an engineer-in-training. Louis Starr has also joined Glumac as a mechanical designer. He designs mechanical systems and selects system equipment for office building projects and high tech facilities. Starr worked as a mechanical designer at BSW in Tulsa, Oklahoma before coming to Glumac. Since February of this year, Leonard Kline has been splitting his time between Glumac's Portland and San Francisco offices. This month, he will become a permanent addition to the Portland office's mechanical engineering division, and is currently leading mechanical design on the Nike World Campus expansion in Beaverton. He was employed at Gayner Engineers in San Francisco before joining Glumac.
Imagio Technology Advertising and Public Relations has hired Kristin Nerup as an assistant account executive in the public relations division and has hired Julie Moe as an marketing assistant. Nerup will work with Peak Technologies, developers of Internet utility tools, and BeComm, a start-up company in the process of developing proprietary software products. Moe will work with Labtec Enterprises, a leading computer speaker manufacturer in securing coverage in both consumer and computer trade publications. Headquartered in Seattle, Imagio offers a full range of advertising, PR and marketing services.
