Metawave Communications Corporation has hired Richard Henderson vice president of sales and marketing. Henderson will oversee the international sales and marketing efforts for the company's spectrum management systems, used by wireless operators to improve network capacity, coverage and call quality. Henderson was formerly vice president of marketing operations in Nortell's cellular group.

CB Commercial

Michael Nemirow has joined the Bellevue office of CB Commercial Real Estate Group as a sales assistant. Formerly employed by Grubb & Ellis, Nemirow specializes in the leasing and sales of high-tech and industrial properties. CB Commercial also has rehired Tim Good, a 26-year veteran of commercial real estate who spent the last two years at Grubb & Ellis after having previously worked at CB. During his career Good has sold, leased or developed 5 million square feet of office and industrial property, including 1.1 million square feet in the Puget Sound region over the past 30 months. Good will focus on the sale of office and investment properties in CB's Tukwila office.

Foster Pepper & Shefelman

Seattle law firm Foster Pepper & Shefelman PLLC will present its annual update seminar on real estate and land use law. Topics will include the state Growth Management Act, new SEPA rules, downzoning, building moratoria, water rights, revisions to the Model Toxics Control Act, real estate financing, construction developments and taxes. Architekton

Scott Johnson has joined the staff of Architekton as systems administrator. He comes from Notkin Engineering, Inc. where he was the CAD/Network Manager. Eshean T. Butler has joined Architekton as a CAD specialist for the retail design group. Eshean most recently worked for RHL Design as a CAD technician. Robin Macias has joined the firm as an intern CAD specialist. She is completing her degree in Computer-Aided Drafting Technology at the ITT Technical Institute in Seattle.

CDi

CDi Mechanical Engineers of Lynnwood has made several additions to its staff. Joseph Llona has joined the firm as a project manager and is currently working on the McChord Air Force Base Clinic and the University of Washington Bothell campus. Victoria Yaros has joined the firm as business manager. Peter Arthursson and James Grimm are new mechanical designers with CDi, and Judy Wehe and Mark Peeples are new CAD designers.

Excell Data

H. Carvel Moore has been promoted to president of Excell Data Corp., a Bellevue-based information technology services company. Moore previously served as executive vice president and a member of Excell's board of directors. Excell's services include software application development, contract consulting, network computing and technical support.
