Edifice Construction has added four new staff members: David Tieu as computer systems administrator, Lori Marchetti-Blazek as accounting specialist, John Wallace as a project superintendent and Mark Haley as an estimator/project manager. Tieu has in-depth experience in hardware, software and networking systems. Marchetti-Blazek has over 20 years of experience in construction accounting and financial systems. Wallace has logged over 20 years in the industrial, commercial, custom and multi-family construction markets. Haley has experience in commercial and residential carpentry and construction systems.
SEATTLE -- ONE/Northwest (Online Networking for the Environment), a Seattle-based, high-tech "help desk" for Northwest conservation groups, has named four new directors to its board. Joining the board are: Anne Tillery, a partner with Pyramid Communications in Seattle; David Jones of Microsoft; Marc Smiley, executive director of the Oregon Natural Resources Council in Portland; and Tony Jewett, executive director of the Montana Wildlife Federation in Helena. The following board members have been reappointed for additional terms: Paul Brainerd, president of the Brainerd Foundation; Kathy Becker, program officer with the Bullitt Foundation; Steve Clagett, executive director of 1,000 Friends of Washington; Rick Johnson, executive director of the Idaho Conservation League; Allan McDonell, executive director of B.C. Wild; Sam Tucker, publisher of Web Active at RealNetworks; and Sylvia Ward, executive director of the Northern Alaska Environmental Center. In addition, Eva Shinagel has joined ONE/Northwest's four-person staff as development director. She is responsible for coordinating fund-raising and communications activities for the non-profit organization. Founded in 1995, ONE/Northwest is a support center that serves more than 1,200 conservation groups in Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and British Columbia. Its mission is to use the power of computer technology to advocate for the environment.

Byron Mark has joined The Pinnacle Consulting Group as a project manager. He will manage industrial engineering projects for Emery Worldwide Airlines, Matsushita Avionics Systems and amazon.com. His work involves operations, startup and overall project management. Jim Woodcock has joined the firm as senior project engineer. He is at work on industrial engineering projects for James Hardie Gypsum, Optiva Corporation, Skyway Luggage, and Tenneco Packaging. Gene Schoenecker has joined Pinnacle as a CAD operator.
Greg Belding and Bob Miller-Rhees have been named associates at Rice Fergus Architects in Bremerton. Belding was the firm's first employee in 1990 and has been project architect for many of the firms residential and commercial projects. Miller-Rhees joined Rice Fergus in 1995 after a 15 year career with Seattle firms in medical, assisted living, educational and corporate commercial work. Architect Robert T. Wright has joined Rice Fergus this year. John H. Larson and Carol Longmate Smiley have also joined the firm as architects and Roger Nordlander has joined Rice Fergus Architects as a CAD operator and specifications writer.
John Barry has joined te Bellevue office of D'Amato Conversano Engineers as a project manager. His structural engineering experience includes work on the Bell Street Pier Central Waterfront Project, 1000 Dexter, and the Green River Community College Center for Information Technology. He is currently managing projects for the 51st Avenue Office Building in Seattle, the Cascade Vet Clinic in Wenatchee and the Belmont Office Building in Woodinville.

Trade Interface Corp., project developers, has relocated its offices to the IBM Building, 1200 Fifth Ave., Suite 412, Seattle.
Business Interiors Northwest, a prominent Northwest dealer in office furniture, has opened a new division called Atria. The unit aims to improve the sales process by using on-site computer analyses of office spaces and furnishing needs. The Atria representative can then order furniture for the client over the Internet, using the same computer. Catherine Kim has joined Meng as manager of marketing and client services. She has worked in business development for engineering, design and high-tech firms. Patrick Mahoney has joined the firm as an intern architect. Elizabeth Whiteford has joined Meng as a project assistant and will work on value analysis projects as well as marketing and other projects. As new office manager, Julie Beck is responsible for administrative support and human resource duties. Kim Trimiew will provide general office and marketing support as a new administrative assistant.
