The Credit Union of the Pacific opened its newest branch in the Lakewood Mall in Tacoma. The facility, which includes teller work stations, an in-branch ATM machine, and a member-use computer station, was designed by The Driftmier Architects.

Paul Belisle has been promoted to director of sales and Rob Long has been promoted to director of technology at The Holiday Group in Seattle. Belisle will oversee sales of timeshare units. Belisle formerly managed resorts in Mexico and Canada. Long will be responsible for the web site, http://www.holiday-timeshares.com. Long formerly worked at the University of Washington's Financial Management office.
InterNAP Network Services, a Seattle-based high performance internet connectivity and routing technology company, has named Eugene Eidenberg chairman of the board. He is an advisory director at the San Francisco investment banking firm of Hambrecht & Quist.

Brian Armstrong has been named director of market management for Health Systems Technologies, Inc., a Seattle-based developer of the Trillium Managed Care System. Armstrong formerly worked for Deloitte & Touche Consulting. The Trillium system is an enterprise managed care system for healthcare organizations delivering healthcare across a provider network and assuming financial risk.
SEATTLE -- Environmental consultants and contractors are invited to attend two free seminars on environmental business opportunities in the Philippines and Mexico. Representatives from both countries are coming here to discuss specific procurement and market opportunities and see demonstrations of environmental technologies. One-on-one visits with delegates can be arranged. The seminar on the Philippines is set for 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel, Cedar Room, 1400 Sixth Ave., downtown Seattle. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. The seminar on Mexico is set for 9 a.m. to noon Monday, June 15 at the Westin Hotel, St. Helens Room, 1900 Fifth Ave., downtown Seattle. Both events are beings sponsored by the state Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development and the Northwest Environmental Business Council. Additional sponsors for the Mexico event include: the U.S. Export Assistance Center; the Consulate of Mexico; the U.S. Mexico Chamber of Commerce; and the King County Office of Trade, Commerce and International Affairs. Deborah Jacobs, who served as director of the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library in Oregon before becoming chief librarian/CEO for the Seattle Public Library System, was awarded the 1997 Intellectual Freedom Champion of the Year Award by the Oregon Library Association.

EmeraldWeddings.com, an online resource serving Seattle area brides and grooms, will launch on July 4. EmeraldWeddings will provide a one-stop shopping experience for engaged couples planning a wedding, reception, and/or honeymoon in the Greater Seattle area. Regular features will include an advice column, calendar of local events, full-service wedding planning section, an online bookstore in affiliation with Barnes & Noble and links to other wedding and region-specific web sites. Couples will be able to announce their weddings and engagements online free of charge.
Greg Riker has joined the board of directors for Woodinville-based Mackie Designs Inc. Riker formerly served as director of multimedia development for Microsoft and founded the Advanced Consumer Technology Group. Mackie Designs is a manufacturer and marketer of professional audio systems.
