Prudential Jack White is the third Alaska company to join the Kirkland-based Commercial Brokers Association, the Northwest's largest commercial networking association. The 22-year-old CBA has more than 1,900 sales agents representing more than 530 real estate offices whose listings are shared in a monthly catalog, daily fax and CBA-NET, a computer database system. Prudential Jack White has been doing commercial and residential work since 1953 and has offices in Anchorage, Wasilla and Girdwood, Alaska. Eleven of its staff of 140, specialize in commercial real estate. The other Alaska real estate companies that are CBA members are Bond, Stephens, Johnson and Jackson; and Norene Realty, both of Anchorage. In other news, Whitney Ellison has returned to Prudential Jack White and will continue selling residential properties in South Anchorage and in the Campbell Lake area.
Seattle Mortgage Co., the largest, independent mortgage banking company in Washington and one of less than 50 independent mortgage banks in the country, is now processing residential mortgages on the Internet at its newly enhanced Web site. Seattle Mortgage has contracted with Seattle-based KeyStroke, a multi-lender mortgage marketplace on the Internet.
Rolling Thunder Marketing, the Kirkland-based high-tech PR and new-media marketing agency, has added nine employees to its team. John Davis will serve as senior account coordinator. Monica Florenco, Andrea Lee, Laura Lucchesi, Michiko Murakami and Sharon Thomas join the company as account coordinators. Joanne Sharpe is a new account manager and Larry Meadows will serve as senior account manager.

Inter-Tel Technologies of Phoenix has purchased Seattle-based Matrix Telecommunications. Matrix began operations in 1978, offering telecommunications solutions to over 3,000 clients. Revenues in the last year were over $8 million. Inter-Tel is a provider of digital business telephone systems and other communications services. Matrix's 65 associates will integrate into the Inter-Tel organization. The company plans to expand its sales and technical staff.

CyPost Corp., a Delaware-based provider of Internet privacy and protection solutions, has solidified its presence in the Seattle and Western Washington area with the purchase of Internet service provider Connect Northwest. The cash value of the acquisition is $1.4 million.

Beth Strand has joined the Lacey office of Macrosearch/Macrostaff, a high tech recruiting and contract placement firm. She moves from the Macrosearch Bellevue office.

Judith Heerwagen has joined Space, an international consulting and architectural firm with an office in Seattle, as the director of research. Heerwagen, formerly with Battelle Northwest, is an environmental psychologist who researches workplace productivity. She received her doctorate in psychology from the University of Washington and continues to serve there as a member of the graduate faculty. Also joining Space is Martin Farach, who will be the firm's lead facility planner for laboratory and biotech projects.

Advanced TelCom Group, a new local telephone company entering the Puget Sound market, will begin full operation the first week of August. The company serves business, small and home-office customers, telecommunters and residential customers who want telephone and Internet access. Local headquarters are in Tacoma.
Henry Yamamoto has joined Doghouse Productions, a Seattle-based online communications agency, as a senior health care consultant helping clients to develop strategic Internet plans. He formerly worked for Swedish, supervising the hospital's consumer Web site.
Western Internet Services, an Oregon-based network and Internet solution provider, has chosen The Marketing Company Int'l of Seattle to help build sales of Internet access through digital subscriber lines in hotels, hospitality management companies and lodging franchisors in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
