Atlas Venture

Atlas Venture, an international venture capital firm with $1.6 billion under management, announces the appointment of Laura Jennings as senior principal. Jennings will lead Atlas Venture's expansion on the West Coast and open a Seattle office for the firm. Jennings joins Atlas Venture after 12 years at Microsoft, where most recently she was vice president of Worldwide Strategic Planning, reporting to company President Steve Ballmer.

USLaw.com

Seattle-based attorney Stephen Hansen has been named Seattle regional director for USLaw.com, a provider of legal information and solutions for consumers and small businesses. Hansen is responsible for building and maintaining USLaw.com's affiliate network of solo practitioners and small firms in the Seattle area. Firms in the network provide off-line legal counsel to USLaw.com site visitors.

Pro2Net Corp.

Pro2Net Corp., a Seattle-based online resource for business professionals, announced the launch of its e-commerce Marketplace at www.Pro2Net.com. The Web site delivers news, research, online continuing education, and now, a marketplace for reselling business-essential products for professionals in accounting, financial services, human resources, insurance and law.

PAR3 Communications

PAR3 Communications, a Seattle-based pioneer in customer participation management (CRM), announced the appointment of Nicholas Tiliacos as president and chief executive officer. Tiliacos was also named to the company's board of directors. PAR3, formerly AlertOnline, is launching its CRM technology later this fall. PAR3 enables companies to strengthen relationships with customers by delivering alerts via telephone, email, pager, Internet, fax, instant messaging or wireless device.

Widevine Technologies

Widevine Technologies, announced its core management team, including many of the pioneers in the development of Internet content-delivery technology. Widevine, a Seattle-based company providing value-added technologies for Internet streaming media has named John Beyer, CEO; Jeff Rice, chief operating officer; Mike Kaplan, chief financial officer; Brad Kollmyer, chief technical officer; Bill Worzel, chief scientist; Reza Rassool, chief engineer; Jeremy Horowitz, co-founder and vice president of research and development; and Jonathan Wright, general counsel.

Data Dimensions

Data Dimensions opened a new test center in Columbia, Md. It will incorporate the processes and techniques of Data Dimensions' four other test centers located in the U.S. and Europe (Bellevue; San Mateo, Calif; Boise, Idaho; and Galway, Ireland). An advantage for large or time-constrained projects is the lengthened number of hours available for testing.

Immunex

Immunex Corp. hired Kimberly Ives to head its finance department. Serving as vice president, finance, Ives will run the strategic financial analysis, planning and daily operations of the finance and accounting departments. She joins Immunex after 13 years in global finance and senior management with Atlantic Richfield Co.

AdvanceOnline, a Seattle-based provider of online safety training solutions, has added Wayne Grotheer and Dr. Robert Miksch to its management team. Grotheer joins the company as product business manager, responsible for conducting industry research and developing new courses that address the government's latest environmental and safety regulations. Miksch joins the company as Online Institute program manager, responsible for bringing new online features and functions to the Online Institute and expanding the interface for students, administrators and faculty.
