SEATTLE — June 20 is Urban ArtRide, a guided bike tour of the city's street art scene including a dozen murals and installations, and short talks by the artists about their work.
Urban Artworks says the tour expands on the idea of First Thursday Art Walk, spreading it across the entire city and making the city itself a gallery. The work of some of the city's top street artists is on the tour, including Game Not Fame, Weirdo and Kyler Martz.
The ride starts at 8:30 a.m. at Pratt Fine Arts Center and ends at 2 p.m. in Ballard. It is sponsored by New Belgium Brewing and curated by Urban Artworks. Bombus Bikes is planning the route and will provide ride marshals to keep the group safe.
Tickets are limited to 50 and cost $25 each at http://urbanartride.eventbrite.com. The ticket includes coffee at check-in, the tour and beers at the end. Proceeds go to Urban Artworks.
