SEATTLE — Pacific Northwest Ballet will perform the classic “Swan Lake,” renowned for its score by Tchaikovsky and the dual ballerina role of Odette, who's trapped in the body of a white swan, and Odile, the “Black Swan” temptress.
Kent Stowell, PNB's founding artistic director, is the choreographer. Stowell mounted PNB's first staging of “Swan Lake” in 1981. The current production, which premiered in 2003, is a revised staging with new scenic, costume and lighting designs.
There will be only nine performances, which start tonight and run through Feb. 11 at Seattle Center's Marion Oliver McCaw Hall.
Tickets are $30-$190. Call (206) 441-2424 or purchase online at https://www.pnb.org.
