Next month is a big one for the North Rainier neighborhood: Artspace Mount Baker Lofts is breaking ground.
It's not huge, but its effect may be. The project will begin to break up an intractable stretch of highway strip-style development just south of downtown Seattle by planting the seeds for a pedestrian network.
