The Berger Partnership, a Seattle landscape architecture firm, added
Anita Madtes, Ann DeOtte, Stacy Rowland, Greta Stearns and
Dave Knight to the firm. Knight is involved in the Luther Burbank Park master plan. Stearns is working on the Bravern project in Bellevue, Winslow streetscape design on Bainbridge Island and the North Kitsap Heritage Park in Bremerton. Madtes has five years of experience in large-scale public projects and private residences. DeOtte joined as a marketing assistant and Rowland is the new accounts manager.

Emick Howard & Seibert announced promotions and management changes of its key staff.
Jack Emick will be president and CEO. He replaces CEO and co-founder
Mindy Howard, who will step down from day-to-day management at the end of this month. She will provide counsel and be involved with special projects.
Paul Seibert becomes vice president of financial services and will continue to head the financial side of the business.
Brett Conway will be chief operating officer.
Jim Haack is vice president of design, responsible for the design content of projects and creating a design department that will continue to attract top-tier designers.
Art Anderson Associates has added senior mechanical engineer Douglas Koenen. He worked at the company from 1990 to 1997 and has experience in construction and project management services. Koenen will work on mechanical portions of the Kitsap County Courthouse renovation and the Port of Bremerton Marina expansion, as well as contracts for local Naval facilities.
CollinsWoerman named a new principal, two directors, three practice leaders and 10 associates. Brian Berg has been named as a principal to the senior management team. He will help lead health care initiatives. The new directors are Elizabeth Morgan and David O'Brien. Morgan will continue as head of business development and as director, and expand her role in management. O'Brien will be director of operations, helping implement strategic goals. As three new practice leaders, Marguerite Jamieson, John Swolgaard, and Joe Workman will be responsible for helping set the direction of the management team. The new associates are Tim Bissmeyer, John Espe, Grant Faust, David Holmes, Larry Leland, Pat Logan, Bill Okazaki, Bev Tiedje, James Walker and John Whitlow.

Chuck Mitchell to its staff. Black will be a project manager for the state Department of Transportation environmental services contract for the Urban Corridors Organization. Mitchell will be managing Argus Pacific's CH2M Hill training contract for domestic and international classes. Argus Pacific is an industrial hygiene, training and safety firm.
Zachary Ham recently joined Dykeman. Ham graduated from University of Washington with a master's in architecture, and is working on an elementary school for the Everett Public Schools.

Reynaldo De La Cruz joined as a senior designer and

Ramsing will serve as the lead technical architect. He is currently working on a schematic design for an auto dealership in Oregon. Cruz is working on conceptual designs for a store in Montana for Lowe's, and a 60-acre master planning commercial project in Virginia Beach, Va. Erickson is working on tenant improvements for a Sur La Table store in Corte Madera, Calif.

James Zimmerman Jr. joined the firm as senior vice president and group manager of the western group based in Seattle. Zimmerman is rejoining Wilbur Smith after beginning his 38-year career in consulting engineering in the firm's Winston-Salem, N.C., office. His background includes transportation planning; long-range planning; parking analyses and design; environmental planning; traffic operations; and transit planning.

Garry Squires to principal. Squires has been with the firm for 11 years. He is based in the Tacoma and Olympia offices, and specializes in geotechnical engineering for development and transportation projects. He is a consultant on the new east span of the Oakland-San Francisco Bay Bridge. Other projects include the new South 228th Street Corridor/Bridge across the Green River in Kent, and the Canyon Road East northerly extension that includes a bridge.

Walsh is working on residential projects in Seattle and Bellevue. Goss is working on a mixed-use project in Hollywood, Calif. Bastero is working on a residential project in the area.
Callison Architecture added senior interior designer Stephen M. Bustos to its workplace studio, which designs corporate interiors. Busto contributed to interior projects for Lockheed Martin and the satellite communication company PCS Solutions. He also designed interiors for Chipotle Mexican Grill's corporate headquarters, Molson Coors U.S. headquarters and HUE lofts in Las Vegas. He has completed projects in Europe, Canada, South America and the Middle East.
Mirai Transportation Planning & Engineering has three new employees. Janet Towle-Hall is designing traffic signals and illumination systems. Neha Rathi, an engineer-in-training, is conducting travel demand forecasting and traffic impact analyses. Robin Shrauner is assisting with traffic signal and lighting plans, as well as graphics for traffic impact analyses.
E C Co. recently added Dick Brandon as manager of E C Energy. The focus of the energy group will be power generation and electrical distribution projects including co-generation, substation, switchyard, powerhouse and utility distribution construction.

Kelly Stallman recently transferred to the Bremerton office of Parametrix as the computer aided drafting and design supervisor. Stallman has worked on the Bremerton Gateway, Bremerton Transportation Center, Evergreen Park Expansion, Kitsap Mall and surrounding area. She will oversee the daily CADD operations as well as provide design and project management support to the office. Stallman was chosen Employee of the year for Parametrix in 2002.
