The Portland-based architecture firm FFA Architecture and Interiors promoted Amalia Mohr to associate partner and director of interiors, Shellee Harkins to director of marketing, and Phillip Chubb and Carin Carlson to associate. Mohr has worked on construction management for Paradise Visitor Center on Mount Rainier, and on interior and space planning for Everpower Renewables and Hi-Tec Sports. Harkins has 12 years of experience in marketing for architecture and engineering firms. Chubb is project manager for Astor Pacific Apartments and has worked on other large-scale projects. Carlson is a historical architect and preservation specialist. She has worked on the OSU Education Hall rehabilitation. The firm provides architecture, planning, historic preservation and interior design.

Mead & Hunt

Mead & Hunt, a national architectural and engineering firm with offices in Issaquah and Vancouver, said Andy Platz has been selected as president and Raj Sheth will transition to chief executive officer. Sheth has been president and CEO since 1994. The firm said it has grown to a point that it was time to divide the roles.

Duncan

Susan M. Duncan has joined WHPacific as an accessibility manager/project manager in the engineering firm's Bend, Ore., office. She has 30 years of experience in the field, and was accessibility manager for the city of Bend. Duncan combined a nursing background and schooling in interior design to found ADAptations inc., which specialized in accessible design. She has worked with Boeing and Sound Transit. WHPacific provides engineering, surveying, scanning, land development, landscape architecture and planning.

Brown and Caldwell hired Ann Miyahira Hajnosz as senior associate and managing engineer in Seattle and David McBride as a managing engineer in Tacoma. Hajnosz previously worked at SAIC. She has 25 years of experience working with water, wastewater, electric and solid waste utilities. She will focus on client services and leadership in Washington and Hawaii, and expanding the financial services and rates practice. McBride has more than 20 years of experience in environmental engineering, water/wastewater facilities planning, design and permitting, and outfall modeling and design. He also has experience in project management and construction administration.

Johnston

Ridolfi hired Daren Johnston as a senior environmental scientist. Johnston has worked on projects involving environmental cleanup, ecological restoration, water quality analysis, environmental permitting and site investigation. He has also worked in sustainability and environmental policy and law. Ridolfi provides environmental cleanup, habitat restoration, energy efficiency, renewable energy and solid waste management.

Brightworks Sustainability Advisors

Lynch

Portland-based Brightworks Sustainability Advisors hired Dennis Lynch as vice president in the sustainable buildings group. He will lead staff in Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and Cleveland. Lynch has 30 years of experience in real estate services. He has directed planning, design and construction of more than two billion square feet of facilities and was senior construction executive on 12 projects recognized for environmental stewardship. He was vice president of health care for Miron Construction. Brightworks provides sustainability consulting for real estate and advises organization on sustainable business practices.

The Blueline Group

Taylor

The Blueline Group hired Cory Taylor as an engineer-in-training. Taylor will be working on residential, commercial and public works projects. Blueline provides civil engineering and land use planning to developers and municipalities in the Pacific Northwest.
