Callison

Hughes

Seattle-based Callison promoted human resources manager Jorge Hughes to firmwide director of human resources. He will oversee talent management, and employee development and engagement. Hughes joined Callison in 2008 as a senior HR generalist in the Dallas office and became HR manager for Dallas, Los Angeles, New York and Mexico in 2011. Previously, he held human resource positions at Veritude in Texas and Operagua O.P.D.M. in Mexico. He has an M.B.A. from the University of Dallas. Callison has offices in the U.S. and abroad.

Hart Crowser

Wert

Hart Crowser hired Mike Wert as a senior fisheries biologist in the Edmonds office, and Brenton Cook as a geotechnical engineer and Nick Galvin as an environmental scientist in the Seattle office. Wert manages water, energy and transportation infrastructure projects and commercial developments in the Northwest. His projects have included the Tacoma Narrows Bridge NEPA environmental impact statement. Cook worked on projects for Boeing, Union Pacific Railroad, Puget Sound Energy and WSDOT. He will support commercial development, waterfront and transportation/infrastructure projects. Galvin was an environmental remediation intern with Boeing. He will support environmental remediation projects. Hart Crowser is an environmental and engineering consulting firm based in Seattle.

IA Interior Architects

Levin

Arnold Levin joined IA Interior Architects as managing director, workplace strategies. In this new position, Levin will focus on workplace strategies, design and change management solutions. He will support IA's offices globally. He was principal and workplace strategy director at NBBJ, and has held leadership roles at Gensler, Mancini Duffy, and Swanke, Hayden, Connell.

WHPacific

WHPacific hired Robert Berman as executive director of sales and marketing, Brad Chastain as vice president of natural resources and energy, Mark Burson as safety officer and Lucy Boyd as executive assistant. The firm promoted Hal Keever to chief operations officer, Tom Jones to operations manager for the Portland office and Lynn Iaquinta to operations manager for the Salem office. Berman has more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and business development for corporations, and is a motivational speaker and trainer. Chastain is the former president of Sivuniq. He and other staff members of Sivuniq merged with WHPacific Oct. 1. Burson was the health and safety representative with Sivuniq. Boyd is an accounting specialist and a former employee of NANA, parent company of Sivuniq. Keever has 30 years in management at WHPacific. He has overseen Northwest operations and managed private and public projects. Jones has 30-plus years of management, planning and design experience, including urban development. Iaquinta has more than 25 years of major project experience, leading design-build projects and providing leadership in bridge engineering. WHPacific provides architecture, engineering, energy, environmental, land development, landscape architecture, surveying and water resources services.

Andrews

Ridolfi, an environmental engineering and scientific consulting firm, hired Jeremy Andrews as a civil engineer. His background is in engineering, habitat restoration, and water resource design and management in the Puget Sound region. Seattle-based Ridolfi provides environmental cleanup, habitat restoration, energy efficiency, renewable energy, environmental chemistry and solid waste management.

NK Architects

Lowe

Lyon

NK Architects hired Chris Lyon and Sarah Lowe as project architects. Lyon has 14 years of experience with multifamily, office and civic buildings in the U.S. and China. He was involved in designing Redmond City Hall and master planning for the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games. Lowe will assist in the firm's transition to Revit software. She has a design role in a number of NK's projects and an interest in passive house design, and the Green Globes assessment and rating system. NK Architects focuses on residential and commercial buildings. It provides feasibility, design, development and historic consulting services.

Jensen Maritime Consultants

Seattle-based Jensen Maritime Consultants hired Lauren Gulkus as senior administrator in the New Orleans office. Gulkus also supports Jensen's sales and marketing. She previously worked at Toxic Litigation Groups. The naval architecture and marine engineering firm said it plans to hire up to 10 more people in New Orleans.

Covington

Otak hired Cheyenne Covington and Jeff Wilson as a senior water resource engineer and water resource analyst, respectively, in the Kirkland office. Covington has experience in stormwater design and low impact development techniques. He is working on the Overlake Regional Detention Facility for Redmond. Wilson worked as a staff scientist for Gravity Consulting and a water quality scientist for Integral Consulting in Seattle, and was a hydrologic science technician for the U.S. Forest Service. Otak is an urban design, architecture, planning and engineering firm.

Ash

Degenkolb Engineers promoted Cale Ash to associate principal and engineering manager and David Gonzalez to group director and principal in its Seattle office. Ash joined the firm in 2003. His experience includes seismic evaluation and health care, higher education and historic preservation projects. He is president of the Cascadia Region Earthquake Workgroup and a board member of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington. Gonzalez joined the firm in 2000. His experience includes seismic evaluation and upgrade projects in the higher education, health care and the public sector. He also does forensic consulting and litigation support. Degenkolb specializes in the design and seismic strengthening of buildings and lifeline systems.
