Court

The Miller Hull Partnership promoted Brian Court and Rob Misel to principal and Jim Hanford to associate in Seattle. Court joined the firm in 2002. He was lead designer for the Bullitt Center in Seattle, which is targeting Living Building certification. Court's portfolio includes mixed-use and residential projects in Chicago and Washington, D.C., and he is now working a project at Pike Place Market. Court was AIA Seattle's Young Architect of the Year in 2013. Misel is an architect with over 20 years of project management experience. He joined the firm in 2002 and has led school and multifamily housing projects, as well as work on the Kitsap County Administration Building. He leads the San Ysidro Land Port of Entry project between San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico. Hanford is the energy-efficient design lead and tracks performance of Miller Hull projects. He previously worked in research and consulting on energy efficiency at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Miller Hull is an architecture and planning firm, with an office also in San Diego.

Jennifer Creveling was named principal and Courtney Landoll senior landscape architect at The Watershed Co., a Kirkland-based environmental consulting firm. Creveling is a senior wetland biologist who manages projects with Puget Sound Energy, Washington State Parks, Washington State DNR and Sound Transit. Landoll leads the landscape design team and coordinates with engineering, architectural and public sector clients. Her work includes the Bellevue Botanical Garden visitor center. She is also president of the Washington Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Davie

Tetra Tech promoted Steven Davie to vice president of operations in Bellevue. Davie takes over for Shiv Batra, who recently retired. Davie joined the firm in 2000 as a project engineer and worked in the Atlanta office until he relocated to Washington. He has been initiative leader for ports, harbors and waterfronts. The firm provides consulting, engineering, program management, construction management, surveying, and technical services.

Dale Wachholz joined DEI Electrical Consultants of Spokane Valley as an electrical engineer. Wachholz worked at NAC|Engineering and his projects included the Spokane VA Medical Center operating room addition. DEI provides engineering, design, management and installation of electrical systems.

AKS Engineering & Forestry Vancouver hired Blair Carlson as a project engineer/manager and Devin Jackson as a project engineer. Carlson is leading development of a new hydrographic surveying group. He was previously with a hydrographic surveying company. Jackson is charged with expanding the firm's public sector work in Washington. He is a civil engineer with experience in highways, and was a transportation engineer for the Washington State Department of Transportation. The AKS Engineering & Forestry group has offices in Vancouver, and in Tualatin and Salem, Ore. It provides civil engineering, land use planning, land surveying, landscape architecture, and forest engineering and arborist services.

Elliott Bay Design Group hired marine engineer David Eubank in the New Orleans office. His has over two decades of experience on military, passenger and offshore vessels, preparing sales proposals and heading development of floatation products for drilling modules. The Seattle-based firm provides naval architecture, marine engineering and production support services.

WHPacific

WHPacific hired Phil Gagnier as resident engineer, Michael Merrigan as inspector and Mila Cobian as construction office administrator in its Seattle office. They are working on the Woodinville-Duvall Road widening. Gagnier has more than 29 years of experience in construction management for public capital improvement projects. Merrigan has 35-plus years of experience managing roadway and bridge projects. Cobian has seven years as a plans examiner and flood inspector, and provided administrative support for the Dade County, Florida, planning and zoning department. WHPacific provides transportation, water/environment, development/facilities, energy, construction/project management, and surveying and scanning services.

Bellevue-based Core Design hired David A. Peebler as senior project surveyor. Peebler has 27 years of experience and will work on large single-family projects and topographic surveys. Core Design is a civil engineering, planning, surveying, landscape architecture and urban design firm.

Architect Brett Hanson is now architectural team leader in the Seattle office of Mackenzie and will do business development. Hanson has 10 years in Mackenzie's Portland office, where he worked on public projects including the Vancouver Police East Precinct and Keizer City Hall and Police Station in Oregon. He has experience in commercial, retail, industrial and higher education projects in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. He will work on growing Mackenzie's Seattle office, with office, retail, mixed-use, industrial and public projects. Mackenzie provides architecture and interior design; structural, civil, and traffic engineering; land use and transportation planning; and landscape architecture.

Zimmerman has over 30 years of experience leading projects. He has worked on institutional and planning projects for health care, education, civic, corporate and private developer clients. Landau Associates hired Craig Jordan as a project geotechnical engineer, Beth Roberts as a project coordinator and Ben Ford as a staff geotechnical engineer in Olympia. Jordan holds a master's and bachelor's of science in civil engineering from Washington State University. Roberts has five years of experience in office administration and holds a bachelor's in geology from Western Washington University. Ford has a bachelor's in civil engineering from Saint Martin's University and is an engineer-in-training in Washington. Edmonds-based Landau Associates provides geotechnical and environmental engineering, remediation, permitting and compliance services.

In the Spokane office, Integrus Architecture hired Jason Bond and Renae Webster as an intern architects, Sheila Gates-Ping as a job captain and Kathy McCarron as bookkeeper. Bond holds a bachelor's in design from the University of Florida and is working with the government group. Webster holds a bachelor's in technology with an architecture major from Bowling Green State University and a master's in architecture from New Jersey Institute of Technology. She is working with the commercial and civic groups. Gates-Ping holds master's and bachelor's degrees in architecture from University of Idaho, and is working with the higher education group. McCarron has 20 years in the administrative field, six in accounting. Integrus provides architectural, planning, interior design, structural engineering and security design services.
