In Spokane, Integrus Architecture hired Suzanne Borden as an interior design intern, Steven Clark as a project architect, Tim Hazelbaker as an architect and project manager, Charleen Ince as an office assistant, Steve Miles as an architectural technician, Megan Pharmer as an interior designer, Suzanne Urbanec as the accounts payable bookkeeper, David Buescher and Eddy Svidgal as project architects and Travis Leaf, Masataka Beppu, Blanca Rodriguez and Kayla Stoker as intern architects. Borden holds a bachelor's in interior design from Washington State University-Pullman, and a diploma in commercial design and an associate of applied science in residential interior design from Spokane Falls Community College. Clark has a background in K-12, higher education and civic/institutional work, and is on the higher education team. Hazelbaker is on the government team. He has experience in the U.S., Egypt and India as a project manager and director of design. Ince has worked in industries that include wholesale distributing, industrial shredding, insurance and higher education. Miles has over 10 years in the architectural industry, with work on commercial, entertainment, hospitality, retail, medical and residential projects. Pharmer holds a bachelor's in interior design from Washington State University. She has done adaptive reuse and tenant improvements, and is on the government team. Urbanec holds a bachelor's from Central Washington University with double majors in accounting and general business. She has worked in corporate and nonprofit accounting. Buescher is on the government team and is president-elect of the AIA Spokane chapter board. Svidgal spent the last 25 years designing custom homes in Sun Valley, Idaho. He is on the government team. Leaf has a background in 3D modeling, rendering and technical drafting, and is on the government team. Beppu holds a bachelor of engineering in architecture and a master of engineering in architecture and civil engineering from Shibaura Institute of Technology, Tokyo. He is on the government team. Rodriguez has a background in small commercial and residential projects and is on the government team. Stoker holds bachelor's and master's in architecture from the University of Idaho. She is on the government and higher education teams. Integrus provides architectural, structural engineering, interior design and security design services.

AKS Engineering & Forestry

In Tualatin, Oregon, AKS Engineering & Forestry hired D. Gary Hutcheson as a project surveyor. Hutcheson has over 43 years of experience managing field crews and overseeing projects. He was with David Evans and Associates for 19 years and Waker Associates for 14 years. AKS provides consulting engineering services, with offices also in Salem-Keizer, Oregon, and Vancouver.

SoundEarth Strategies

Smith

Seattle-based SoundEarth Strategies hired Jess Smith. Smith is a civil engineer in training, with more than six years of experience in stormwater, water and sanitation design. She focuses on low-impact designs for stormwater systems.

Terracon

In Mountlake Terrace, Terracon Consultants hired Kathie Lavaty as a senior industrial hygienist, Zachary Koehn as a geotechnical engineer, Forrest Martin as an environmental technician and Tove Rogers as administrative staff. Lavaty has 30 years of experience, including for Federal DOE sites and the petrochemical, heavy industry, manufacturing, construction and energy distribution industries. Koehn has six years of experience. He will work on large-scale geo-design projects. Martin transferred from the Lynnwood office of Mayes Testing Engineers, A Terracon Company. He supports the environmental services group. Rogers transferred from Mayes, and provides administrative support. Terracon is a consulting engineering firm with over 3,500 employees in offices nationwide.

Seattle-based LMN Architects promoted Brianna Holan, Jessica Miller and Todd Schwisow to principal. It promoted Missy Eby, Chris Eidt, Cameron Irwin, Vanessa Ly, Erik Perka, Aya Sakurai, Jennifer Tamblin and Mark Tumiski to associate. Holan is a planner with experience in urban infrastructure and a focus on active, civic-oriented places. She is working on the SR 520 Montlake Lid and Land Bridge. Miller's work includes design and project management, and ranges from education buildings to transit designs. She is working on the Washington State Convention Center expansion. Schwisow's projects include Sound Transit North Link University Station. He is overseeing construction administration on Carver Hall renovations at Western Washington University. Eby is an interior designer whose projects include 8th & Howell Hotel Tower under construction in Seattle. Eidt played a key role on several projects, and is working on the Health Sciences Building at Central Washington University. Irwin has done public and private projects, and is working on Washington State Convention Center's expansion and co-development. Ly's projects include the 800 Columbia tower in Seattle. She also helped pursue the Seattle Aquarium expansion, recently awarded to LMN. Perka's work includes Foster School of Business at the University of Washington and the North Link University Station. Sakurai is an interior designer who worked on the Greater Columbus Convention Center expansion and is leading the WSCC interiors team. Tamblin has done high-rise residential and civic work. She is working on the Asian Art Museum renovation and expansion, and helped win the Seattle Aquarium expansion. Tumiski has worked on complex projects, including two design-build projects for the University of California, Irvine. He is working on a 1,000-foot-high tower at Fourth and Columbia in Seattle.

Seattle-based Tiscareno Associates hired Kira Dietrich as an architectural designer and promoted David Reddish to associate principal. Dietrich holds a bachelors of architecture from the University of Oregon. She will work on mixed-use and multifamily projects. Reddish will work on multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, cultural and institutional projects. Tiscareno is an architecture and urban design firm.

Fuchs

Seattle-based Johnston Architects promoted David Fuchs and Amber French to associate. They have worked on single-family, mixed-use and commercial projects. Fuchs is project manager for Shared Roof and Rainier Central mixed-use projects in Seattle. French is project architect for Maple Leaf Flats in Seattle and Our Home in Portland. Johnston provides architectural, interior design and planning services.
