In Tacoma, AHBL hired Heather Perkins as human resources manager, Michael Gilbert as a chainman, James Stuart as a marketing coordinator, and Ella Anguiano, William Thompson, Steve Nickison and Claire Hovde as project engineers. In the Tri-Cities office, it hired MillieAnne VanDevender as a land use planner. Perkins has 18 years of experience providing human resources in the technology sales and senior housing industries, with a focus on employee wellness, innovative onboarding and people management. Gilbert came to AHBL from another firm and will be on the survey team. Stuart spent the last five years with a general contractor in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He will focus on new work and external marketing. Anguiano is in the civil engineering group. She has a biosystems engineering degree from the University of Arizona and worked at a septic system design company in Colorado. Thompson has a bachelor's in civil engineering from the University of Washington and is in the civil division. He interned for two years with Washington State Department of Transportation. Nickison holds a bachelor's in civil engineering from Marquette University. He is in the civil group. Hovde has a bachelor's in civil engineering from Washington State University, and is in AHBL's civil department. VanDevender has experience in architecture, urban planning and project management. She has been involved at AHBL on comprehensive plan updates for the city of Connell and Franklin County.

In Seattle, PAE promoted Scott Kuyper to project manager and Brock Soderberg and Carmen Cejudo to associate. Kuyper has been with Luma, a PAE division, since 2013. He has over 16 years of lighting design experience and helped develop LEED AP standards for the Neighborhood Development Accreditation with Green Building Certification Inc. Soderberg has been with Luma since 2015. He has over a decade of lighting experience, and is working on Nike and Facebook projects, and the Sea-Tac International Arrivals Terminal. Cejudo was hired in 2015. She is working on the historic renovation at 419 Occidental Ave. in Seattle and 88 Bluxome Street Towers in San Francisco. PAE provides mechanical and electrical engineering, building analysis, commissioning and technology system design.

In Seattle, Floyd|Snider hired Scott Adamek as a senior environmental engineer and geologist, and Emily Jackson and Adia Jumper as environmental engineers. Adamek was with CDM Smith/AGI Technologies. He has over 28 years of experience in engineering, construction and geology on industrial, public and federal projects. He's also worked on remediation sites following the Washington State Model Toxics Control Act and the federal Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act regulations. Jackson has 10 years of experience on environmental remediation and site redevelopment. She has done ecological and human health risk assessments, upland remediation and redevelopment, sediment dredge and cap design, hazardous waste management, construction cost estimating, permitting, and construction management. Jumper has a bachelor's in civil engineering from the University of Kentucky. The civil engineer is providing technical support in field and remedial investigations and feasibility studies.

In Bellevue, Osborn Consulting hired Kristy Warren, Ric Brown and Terrence Hew as project engineers, Jacob Romero and Aleksandra Slatala as GIS and CAD designers, and Kara Nguyen as office coordinator. Warren has 10 years of experience in municipal water and wastewater utility design, water resources, and environmental remediation. Brown has over eight years of experience designing and planning services for water systems, stormwater, sanitary sewer, and environmental remediation projects. Hew has three years of experience in civil engineering project design and management. Romero has three years of GIS and AutoCAD experience, including transportation planning, geographic technologies, cartography and statistics for geography. Slatala has a bachelor's and a master's in chemical and process engineering and over five years of AutoCAD experience. Nguyen oversees project invoices and contracts.

In Seattle, Hewitt hired Jackie Argueta as marketing coordinator, Kathryn Christensen and Robin Croen as landscape architects, and Adam DiPaola, Atif Khwaja and Sarah Bonser as architecture staff. Argueta worked on animations and illustrations for the documentary “A Brief History of Time Travel,” collaborated with artists on music videos and provided art direction and multimedia design for local businesses. Christensen has landscape architecture and urban design experience. She is assisting with landscape architecture on several mixed-use projects in Seattle including Center Steps, Tower Steps and 111 Westlake. Croen has a master of landscape architecture from the University of Washington, and is working on Heritage Square Master Plan in Walla Walla and urban design plans near Seattle Center. DiPaola is a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Architecture + Allied Arts. He is working on Capitol Hill Station's transit-oriented development that broke ground in June. Khwaja has five years architectural design experience on public and private projects in Seattle, Afghanistan and Pakistan. He is working on preliminary engineering for light rail to downtown Redmond and the future Ballard-West Seattle light rail extension. Bonser holds a master's in architecture from The Ohio State University. She is working on Hinoki, an affordable housing development in Yesler Terrace, and projects for Snohomish County Public Utility District #1. Hewitt provides architecture, landscape architecture and urban design.
