David Katri, president and CEO of Clark Nuber, a Bellevue-based CPA and consulting firm, was named 2014 Innovative Firm Leader by Leading Edge Alliance, a global association with 200 accounting firm members in more than 100 countries.

MD²

MD² International, a Bellevue-based provider of “concierge medicine”, will open a Beverly Hills office Nov. 1 with Drs. Michael Brousseau and Dennis Evangelatos. MD² physicians care for 50 families each. MD² has offices in New York, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Menlo Park, Portland, Seattle and Bellevue.

Pierce County Library

Karim Adib joined Pierce County Library as digital experience director. Adib comes from Chicago Public Library where he worked for 10 years as the director of information and technology services. The system includes unincorporated Pierce County and 15 cities and towns, and is the fourth largest in the state.

Cascade Bicycle Club

Cascade Bicycle Club said David Douglas is the new recreational riding director. He has worked for the club as event producer for rides such as Chilly Hilly and Seattle to Portland, and has been president of the Washington State Bicycling Association for 10 years.

Washington Poison Center

Washington Poison Center hired Matthew Valento, MD and Betty Chen, MD as interim co-medical directors. Valento and Chen are faculty members in emergency medicine at the University of Washington and work at Harborview. WAPC is one of the 10 largest poison centers in the country by case volume.

The Fearey Group

The Fearey Group has expanded its Health & Life Sciences practice by 35 percent and added 10 new clients. Nandi Thorn is now director of Health & Life Sciences. Amy Snow Landa and Katie Ross are account supervisors.

The Seattle Aquarium

The Seattle Aquarium named David Muzia director of facilities. Muzia has over 10 years of experience in facilities management and environmental health and safety. He was regional operations manager for western North America at Expedia as well as facility and environmental health and safety manager for Seattle's Institute for Brain Science.

REI

REI said Annie Zipfel has been promoted to senior vice president of marketing, Julie Averill has been promoted to vice president of information technology and Mark Stoddard is the new vice president of planning, inventory management and operations. Zipfel joined REI in 2012 as divisional vice president of customer marketing. Averill has been interim vice president for two months. Stoddard worked for Catherines and Eddie Bauer.

Western Washington University

Craig Dunn was appointed to a two-year term as dean of the College of Business and Economics at Western Washington University. He has been interim dean for a year and before that was associate dean/director of graduate programs at CBE.
