Friends of Youth

Friends of Youth President and CEO Terry Pottmeyer is leaving after five years with FOY, having completed a $7.5 million capital campaign for a youth shelter, transitional housing and supportive services. The interim CEO is Nancy Osborn Nicholas, who has over 30 years of experience in nonprofit leadership. The FOY board will search for a new CEO.

Puget Sound Sage

Puget Sound Sage will have a new executive director in 2015: Rebecca Saldana, who is now deputy director. She will replace David West, who is moving on to new projects after eight years as Sage's director. Saldana has focused on housing and transit issues as well as advocacy for South Seattle since 2012.

Rimon

Rimon, P.C. has added tax and estate planning attorney Filmore Rose as a partner in the Seattle office. He joins Rimon from Lane Powell. Rimon has corporate, litigation, intellectual property, tax and private client attorneys in 14 offices worldwide.

Hogg

Banner Bank hired Alex Hogg on the residential lending team for Bellevue and Mercer Island. He ran his own mortgage company over the last six years.

Zender Thurston

The 100-year-old Bellingham law firm of Zender Thurston PS is changing its name to Carmichael Clark PS. This does not reflect a change in the firm or the attorneys practicing there. Carmichael Clark has nine attorneys who serve clients in northwest Washington.

South Sound 911

Ken Sharp, retired fire chief at West Pierce Fire & Rescue, is South Sound 911's first deputy director of fire services. Sharp retired as WPFR fire chief in 2013. He will serve as deputy director in a part-time interim capacity until a permanent hire is made.

Lisa Dupar and Co.

Michael Zimmer is the new chef-de-cuisine for Lisa Dupar and Co. catering and Pomegranate Bistro. Michael replaces his father, Jonathan Zimmer, who has left to pursue other projects.

Frontier Communications

Frontier Communications, a provider of broadband, voice, data and television services, promoted Frank Aff to director of operations in the West Region: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana. Aff will oversee the Fiber Service Center, Dispatch Resource Center and Network Operations, based in Beaverton, Oregon. Timothy Ross was named sales manager for Western Washington. Ross worked for Comcast in Washington and Clearwire.

Bellingham Technical College

Bellingham Technical College President Patricia McKeown said she plans to retire next June. Her career at BTC spans more than 30 years.
