Artist Trust

Artist Trust hired Brian McGuigan as program director. McGuigan has worked in programs and marketing at Hugo House and ArtsWest. He will oversee grantmaking, career development programs and resources for artists statewide.

Mozzie Pants

Mozzie Pants is a line of dog clothing that is handmade in Seattle. Julie Korth said she lost a corporate job in 2014 and started Mozzie Pants. She is in charge of design, sourcing, marketing and the website. Korth has a BA in marketing with a specialty in apparel and textiles. The line is deisgned to keep pets cleaner, cover wounds and hot spots, and help with behavior issues.

Washington State University

Washington State University conference manager Dana Colwell has been sworn in as president of the Washington state chapter of Meeting Professionals International. MPI has 20,000 members from 86 countries. The state chapter has more than 300 members. Colwell has worked in the conferencing business since 2003.

Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce named Soon Beng Yeap senior vice president of communications and marketing. Yeap's background includes working on Starbucks Coffee's international expansion and as communications counsel to Microsoft while he worked at Waggener Edstrom. The organization recently promoted Kim Lichttenegger to director of marketing and Alicia Teel to director of policy communications.

Lucinda J. Luke was named shareholder at Carney Badley Spellman law firm in Seattle. Her practice focuses on labor and employment counseling, and litigation, municipal and corporate law. Luke also has extensive experience representing municipal entities.

Crosscut

Hanscom

Crosscut has hired Greg Hanscom as editor-in-chief. Hanscom worked as editor-in-chief of the Colorado-based regional nonprofit site High Country News and Baltimore-based Urbanite magazine. Most recently, he has been an editor at Grist. Hanscom joins other recent additions to the Crosscut team: Executive Director Tamara Power-Drutis and Editor Drew Atkins. Crosscut is a reader-supported, nonprofit electronic journal.

Skagit Bank

Skagit Bank opened a new Ballard office, its first full service bank in King County, at 2410 N.W. Market St. Skagit Bank has 12 offices in Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish and King counties. The Ballard bank is managed by Frank Rizo. The Commercial Banking team is led by Robert Salvador and his team includes Keith Dingfield and Bill Morrow. Skagit Bank opened a commercial loan production office in South Lake Union in May 2014.

Seattle Office of Film + Music

The Office of Film + Music said Timothy Lennon, executive director of The Vera Project, has joined Seattle Music Commission.
