Nelson's background is in pharmaceutical and medical sales.

Skagit County

Skagit County won a national award from the Center for Digital Government and the National Association of Counties, taking eighth place in the under-150,000 population category. The center is a research institute that looks at initiatives that save money, boost efficiency and transparency, and improve cybersecurity.

City of Tacoma

Washington State University

Richard Zack has been appointed interim associate dean of academic programs in the College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Resource Sciences at Washington State University. His research has resulted in the identification of new insect species, including seven named for him.

Freight Mobility Investment Board

Governor Jay Inslee named Fife Deputy Mayor Pat Hulcey to a second four-year term on the Freight Mobility Strategic Investment Board. The board proposes policies, projects, corridors and funding to the Legislature.
